We lived in an apartment with only one entrance door - idk how I managed not to get caught coming back in in the middle of the night. I was so nervous but it was worth it! Such an unforgettable night. ♥️
Nothing brings me back to my high school years like Rod Stewart's music from the 70's. love that he's still rockin! saw him in 1996 at the breslin center in Lansing mi. Awesome show!
So Rod claims he is always on time... well in the summer of 1975, at Anaheim Stadium the show was pre-Rumors Fleetwood Mac, Login and Messina, and Rod Stewart. Fleetwood Mac came on about 1 pm, did their set, about 2:30 Logins and Messina did their bit, and the stage was cleared. The expectation was the stage would immediately be set up for Rod. Now... I was in general admission about 50 feet from the stage set up over the outfield wall in center field. It was ninety-five degrees and there was no where to get a drink without giving up your space close to the stage. Rod's gear was held up by a train, arrived at about 6 pm and he hit the stage about 6:45pm. He apologized and played and extra long set.
"Still rocking" is a generous way of putting it The beach Boys are in their 6th decade of touring and ...it's not like they are worth seeing anymore haha Age gets us all, rod is no different
That's true for me, more than any others in 1978/1979. He displaced Elton John. True that blondes were having more, all of the sexual "fun" back then. The wickedest ones trying make me live the "Easy A" situation, because I had plenty of platonic male friends. Like the film. The ones in college, we definitely had our issues with the same way as in high school, but we all got along much better, ran around in the same clique. Just didn't accept any hipocrisy self righteousness judgements from that type, especially when we started regularly dating. Why should we, we were the later bloomers. Didn't make any sense. It was some kind of envy and egomaniac narcissism combined, as if all guys belonged to them. Ridiculous. Vanity mirror. As if who's the most physically beautiful of all? The anorexic, who barely ate, because it didn't even matter if we were not fat, but if gained weight, oh feeding the zombies vanity mirror. Psychologically insane trying to mentally entrap others in their game.

Bill and I are the same age. There were 2 albums I listened to the whole summer of 1971, Paul McCartney's Ram and Rod Stewarts Every Picture Tells a Story.
I went to London quite a few years ago (maybe 2004?). The friends I was staying with gave me a newspaper listing what was going on there at the time. Wow, he really seems super down to earth and can take a joke very well. What a cool guy.
My wife is a huge Rod Stewart fan, so whenever he appears locally, I get tickets. If back in the seventies you would have said this was the guy you would see most often live, I would have been surprised at that. All that being said, never seen a bad show!
"The Queen and I have had the same haircuts for the last 60 years."🤣😂 Gotta love that guy!! Now... To get him and Keith Richards on- it'll be like watching an episode of Time Team; an archeology Show of sorts.
wow what an ICON... thats awesome
There are some treats on the new album too. What an entertainer.
I once got a noise violation, circa 1998 in PA for playing Rod Stewart too loud.
Who doesn't love Roddie! Such a gentleman and a Rock icon on top of that. Talk about living life to it's fullest!
Rod will be on Real Time when he turns 100, rockin' the same awesome lid, and announcing his second to last tour.
With the same wig.
I remember rocking out to Rod back in '72 while hitchhiking around Europe with my boyfriend. What a time it was and still is!
Rock star until the last sentence, when the studio cuts it off! Baahaahaaa!!! Yes Rod!!!! Hilarious!!!!
Saw him in Miami twice in the 1990s at the old Arena, we had a Miami Heat Skybox, so I entertained the folks.
Rod used to play soccer in LA. He'd just show up and play. No pretense. The best.
Cool guy and a great rock and roller.
Rod Stewart is great here. I too have the Maggie May 45 and many others. Hasnt been played since the 70's.
Been a fan since the faces. Saw him in Chicago area 1987 I believe. Great show…great entertainer.
