Let’s hope she has declared it. They won’t pay a penny out and their claim assessors ain’t daft they would check that cars ECU over straight away after looking at the external mods… (which I hope she declared too)
I love when car companies do this I had a mini one with 80hp and the plan was to remap it to 130hp as it’s the same engine as the cooper. Unfortunately it blew up before I could get it done 😂
@@clifton1989 the one uses the same engine as the mini just de Tuned so a Remap brings it up to cooper spec +5-10hp. Same as this BMW is just a detuned 118i engine
Quite underpowered stock hp from factory. Definitely good gains there. Reminds me of the 3 litre supercharged engines some Audis came with. Likely detuned so they aren't faster than the RS models but they have good tuning potential to make them easily faster
Sweeping generalisation. Remaps vary massively and off the shelf ones are worst. Cut and paste from a car running totally different to yours and there are some total cowboys out there claiming big numbers and not giving a fuck about your engine. One bad map and you will know about it and that’s EXACTLY what’s just happened to the bloke in my comment. Hope it’s a dsg too because the clutch will be dead first way before the engine. A standard GTI can do a clutch with 258 ft lb and 230 ps ( current owner of 3 TFSI engine cars).
If it’s the 1.6t Prince engine that’s in the Cooper S and the Peugeot 208 GTI, then running 220/230 BHP without supporting mods should be relatively safe.
@@kristoffer3000 wym they are rock solid? They are the same as 1.6 thp it is common knowledge that they are among the worst petrol engines ever manufactured.
Very safe, it's the exact same engine as the 116i, 118i and a few years of the 120i, they came with 184 hp at the most from the factory, only difference is an oil cooler and a half inch larger downpipe fitted to the 118i and 120i. If you buy an automatic it's also the exact same box across the range, ZF8HP45, rated for 450nm which is massively overkill.
Smart looking little car I like what she’s done with it, I wonder if her insurance know it’s now running 223hp 😂
No they still probably rolling laughing that it’s a 114i

Dog shit and you wouldn't get 50hp out of an na engine with a remap
Yeah i have mini one 1.6 whit 137hp and 188nm only remap done to it😂

Yeah but the 3.0 Supercharged engine was pretty damn strong even if it wasn’t an RS. It wasn’t a cooking model engine.
Its perfect for me since u cant drive a car registered with more than 80kw if ur younger than 21 here in serbia lol
A nice car, and great video Jamie, cheers fella.
This video has convinced me to get the splitter kit on my 2012 MSport. Looks great.
Remaps are fairly safe these days. I’m about to do my 2.0 tsi scirocco. 180 standard, maps to 280bhp. 100 gains but the 2.0 tsi strong engine

In what world does it remap to 280hp, because it sure as shite ain't this one.

Pretty sure them wheels are from a facelift E92 m sport
Yeah they are. Not sure how he got them to fit as they're wide.
I love this idea!
How was the nose driving that thing around? So many air fresheners in there! Haha
If you get it automatic can you manually add shifting paddles to it?

The engine is so short it actually sits behind the front axle...
How many km did the car have when the owner applied the stage 1 tune?
somebody knows what wheels are they ?
313M's
Off bmw 3 series coupe e92
has it got 100bhp map from stock because they didnt put bigger brakes on it or uprated hubs or drive shafts etc etc to keep the costs down?
Stage 1 requires no mechanical changes to the car bud.
All the N13 F20's are mechanically identical apart from a 0.5 inch smaller downpipe and no oil cooler on the 114 and 116i's
two questions
what does FYD mean ?
what mpg is it returning it after the remap?
Follow your dreams
Same MPG as stock, if not a tiny bit more because of more low down torque, at least mine does
Need help guys. Does anyone know what wing mirrors would fit the car (f20? F31?) 5 or 6 pin ones?
coilovers or sprigns h&r?
What size rims are these

How safe and what’s the cost? Got a 116i and tempted
Very safe, the engine has the exact same components as a 2L its just tuned down, should cost around £300
This engine is crap, will start burn oil, and not just a bit.
Could anyone help me out, what wheels are these? Off the old 3 series?
