Elizabeth Montgomery was an incredible talent and a raving beauty. Always been my favorite lady on television
She had a beautifull figure, trim and so feminine.
She looks even better with dark hair
"Ding Dong the First"...loved the nicknames she called Darrin...you can't help but love Serena! and her outfits.
Watching the reruns as a kid I never realized Serena was also being played by Elizabeth Montgomery. A little make-up and amazing acting go along way
talented huh?
Very Early bewitched episodes they wanted to show Serena is Elizabeth Montgomery
I always loved when Elizabeth got to play other caricatures in this show, actors really shined when they get to show their creativity. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
The actos are were very adept at creating other character extremely well
I really enjoyed watching Liz in full Serena mode but in Sam’s persona.
its so obvious, both characters were well done.
So did Bill Asher, her husband. 😀
Paul Lynde didn't like it when Liz was Serena. This is what Liz said in an interview.
@@kerrykeene6471 interesting; Lynde felt he was being upstaged maybe by the character?
@@johnerwin9024
felt it ? Or knew it ?
"Haven't you forgotten something?"
I love the way that line is said.
Elizabeth Montgomery was so talented that without Serenas makeup..she still is Serena!!!!!
Serena a Samantha are both terrific..." dont you think people should be nice ? "
i think people should be nice, dont you think people should be nice, of course !
Serena is my absolute fav character in the show!!
Aunt Clara was always my favorite character in the show.
This episode, in particular, had the best transition effects. There were instances that the trick photography was so good, you couldn't tell.
thats true.
You bellowed Oh Square One!!!
Anybody recognize Robert Cummings? I loved his movies.
I did. Perfect foil for Serena. Great comic actor.
Elizabeth as Samantha as Serena.
i know , isnt Serena fab?
Love her in this character.
Martha (client’s wife) stylish AF 👏🏻
It’s amazing how she went from Martha Berkeley to 83 year old Frieda Claxton on an episode of the Golden Girls just 15 years later. They made her up to look much older like they did Sophia.
@@jimhaggard7436 I was just going to say the same thing!
@@thatjpwing She also appeared on the Golden Girls in a later episode as Dorothy’s possible birth mother, Philomena Bosco. She was friends with Sophia and her daughter Gina and Dorothy were born on the same day. Blood tests later confirmed that Gina was not their biological daughter. To complicate matters, Gina was the spitting image of a younger Sophia, but without the red hair.
@@jimhaggard7436 I was just gonna say. That had to be Claxton. One of the funniest episodes of GG. I noticed a few Bewitched actors would pop up on GG. 🤔
Elizabeth Montgomery playing two roles
Excellent job.🏆🏆🏆🏆
Elizabeth Montgomery is incredible. 🥰
And Dick Sargent respect. 🙏🏻
I have dark hair and I like to pretend I am Sabrina sometimes. She is sooo pretty and she has a great personality toward those who are abusive. The really puts them in their place!!
ha ha great idea, often we tend to identify with a particular actor
Ĺiz was deserving of an award for playing Serena so uncannyly well, and this clip is a perfect example,
Serena****
People don't realize how incredible this scene is. The producers of Bewitched really wanted an actress who could play Samantha's cousin and a nationwide search was undertaken to find an actress who could look like Elizabeth Montgomery, but with a different voice and personality. Eventually, they found an obscure actress named Pandora Spocks who was the perfect choice to play the crazy cousin who looked like Samantha. But in this scene, we see Pandora Spocks, made up to look like Elizabeth Montgomery while playing a combination of both the Samantha and Serena characters. Pandora was a great actress. A pity her career ended in the early 1970s. She doesn't even have an imdb page.
SPOILR ALERT!
The deception worked. 🙂 Elizabeth Montgomery wanted to do something different other than playing the sweet Samantha all of the time. So Liz came up with wacky cousin Serena. She was first seen in the episode AND SOMETHING MAKES THREE in season two.
Often times when Serena/Elizabeth is in the same shot with Samantha, you'll see Melody McCord with her back to the camera dressed like Samantha. She was Elizabeth's stand-in. This meant that Elizabeth had shot Samantha's lines while facing the camera and Serena's when she's facing the camera. Sometimes they'd use split screen (both in the same scene).
The name Pandora Spocks is a takeoff on Pandora's Box. The character was based on Elizabeth's own cousin Amanda, who i've heard from a Bill Asher interview, that Amanda was mischievous like Serena. In a 2005 article, Amanda said that she and Liz were like sisters.
It worked. The Serena episodes were some of Elizabeth's favorites. She could let her wild side run amok. 😀
@@kerrykeene6471 I have heard (seriously, just treat this as an unsubstantiated rumour) That after they finished shooting a Serena episode, Elizabeth Montgomery would keep the wig and she and her husband William Asher would go to a cheap motel and play fantasy together.
Gotcha..🙂
Dude, Pandora Spocks never existed. It was a ruse used by Elizabeth Montgomery and William Asher so people wouldn't know Elizabeth was playing Serena. That's why there isn't an IMDB page on Pandora Spocks. That is a play on Pandora's Box b
@@bicpapermate That is true. They did do that sometimes
One of the best TV series everrrrr!! 💯🤗
It would be great to watch Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie without having to pay 👀
I agree
@@carolwolfrum9205 thanks 😊 👍
I am in love with Serena and samantha❤❤❤
These are all very entertaining.
Patty duke show was the first to use one actor to play two parts I believe.
Clients wife is actress Nan Martin. Great character actress in films like Big Eden. What a nice surprise to see her in this episode.
Nan was good in that movie ( Big Eden )
@@vulcan2882 oh she was a very versatile actress.
@@gregguralnik2512 .. yes I know, I liked her.
Serena was the naughtier and hotter version of Samantha and Elisibeth loved playing her
I like how Samantha goes to get a ten thousand spell check up & Serena has to pretend to be Samantha cuz Darrin had a client & his wife & Larry at his house to discuss some business with a client & I love when Serena uses magic to bring Tabithas toys 2 life & Serena turn the toys back to normal & when Samantha came back Serena leaves & forgets to change a toy back to normal in bewitched season 7
I used to have a crush on Serena, she has that classy elegance.
Darrin: "Just behave."
Serena: " I'll behave. Witches honor."
I'm not so sure about Serena's 'witches honor'. She loved playing around with mortals too much. 🙂 Sam did tell Darrin once that her Mother gave her witches honor and she dare not break it. Maybe the Council does care, if a witch/warlock is messing with a mortal. 🙂
Hey love this episode of bewitched my favorite love serena she was awesome wish she would of played on more episodes
Many of these uploaded Bewitched eps are of low volume, then ads come on and practically scream, so I rarely with atch them. I saw the show on TV new, as a child. The second Darren never tried to get along with Serena.
Pandora was Elizabeth Montgomery..
imagine if darrin had kissed serena passionately like she asked darrin
All of these actors (except for Darrin2) had a prominent role in the original Twilight Zone. If Dick York was playing Darrin, it would have been all of them. Nan Martin was in the original and new (1985) TZ series.
Serena was the hotter version of Samantha I loved her
Larry should know better by now than to invite clients over to Darren and Samantha’s home. Weird things ALWAYS happen there.
good looking suit Bob Cummings wearing; color/fit-
So who was Serena’s mother? I figured she was related to Samantha’s father side of the family, since Sam and Serena looked more like Samantha’s dad, Maurice. Endora had only one sibling, and that was Uncle Author. Aunt Clara, Aunt Hagatha and Aunt Enchantra must of been Maurice’s siblings.
I don’t think we were ever told who Serena’s mother was. I vaguely recall hearing Serena came from Maurice’s side of the family.
There were no episodes where Maurice and Serena appeared together.
@@johnmanier7968 She does mention to Mrs. Stephens that she comes from Maurice's side of the family.
I Love Sam as Serena, keep those Bewitched videos with Dick Sargent coming
You're quite repetitive, aren't you?
I like Dick Sargent as well.
I’d give them more than a kiss
Quiero saber porque no hay capítulos enteros, solo trozos
Elizabeth stayed in the Serena character throughout the episode. Even when she was playing Samantha. She played her with Serena's personality, mischievous. 🙂
There is a truth in this episode. Elizabeth loved people, except she didn't like people who mistreated others.
Ding Don the 1st
Love that Bob.
Bill had a great witches honor too thank you "Serena"
Oh My! 😍😍😍 That outfit Serna has on in the beginning of the vid. Where can I get one? 🔥
what episode is this from, ill bet its fun, Serena makes a show especially inviting..
Elizabeth's Serena was/is a hoot. She loves playing around with.mortals. 🙂
Where was Sam in this episode?
I think Sam was sick and needed a checkup (the 10,000-spell overhaul). 😉
So Serena's sitting with the kids till Sam gets back.
Serena was my boyhood fantasy, a delicious and excitingly dangerous brunette with sultry cat green eyes. She makes me growl in a very primitive way.
Do all Americans have a selection of drinks in their homes at all times?
And another reason why Elizabeth Montgomery was SO SEXY!
I don't even know why I watch this it always end and the wrong time I'm always what's going to happen next
Serena cooked for Henry Viii? That makes her older than Sam. However, she always said that she was Sam's younger cousin. 🙂
Here's something in real life that Liz did. She and her brother Robert teased each other about their ages. She always claimed to be younger than her brother, when she in actuality was three years older. That sounds like Serena. 🙂
Wow! I never caught that.
Dick York wasn't just in love with Elizabeth Montgomery, he was obssessed with her, to the point she wanted him fired.
As for Serena, that's exactly what Elizabeth Montgomery wanted, a character 180degrees opposite to her Samantha. Remember, Serena didn't care much for mortals, either, just like her Aunt Endora.
As for Dick Sargent, I like his Darrin. He brought a since of maturity to the role, less likely to be freaked out by who Sam is. He didn't have to kiss her five times in a scene to prove his love for Sam. In the last scene, Darrin stops Sam as she's going upstairs and says, "Sam, i'd like to tell you that I love you, but I don't think it's enough." Sam says, "It's enough. I'm not greedy." They kiss. That says it all.
Unlike Dick York, who Elizabeth didn't like, she loved Dick Sargent as a friend. He felt the same about her, calling her a caring and understanding and beautiful lady. Elizabeth referred to him as a terrific guy.
I've heard that Bill Asher ran an easy going set, except forbthe long hours.
Tbh I don’t think Serena didn’t like mortals, sure she messes with them but that’s mostly because she just likes messing with people.

Here's one short interview with a director who worked on BEWITCHED.
ruclips.net/video/fktr93QuQ9g/видео.html
The link below is an interview with Dick York himself, in his own words. Dick York seemed to "love" Elizabeth for her physical beauty, Dick Sargent loved her as a friend and as a person. She felt the same about him.
ruclips.net/video/ymyCPDcaqVw/видео.html
This isn't to put down Dick York at all. He was a talented actor and a humble man who tried to help his fellow humans. It's sad because of a stupid accident that wasn't even his fault, basically ended his career.
I just wish some people would give Dick Sargent the same respect and understand what he went through most of his life, fear, hate, and the threat gays felt of bodily harm. In some parts of the country, that feeling still exists. In fact, he had to hide his true self in order to work in homophobic Hollywood at that time.
Below is an interview with Sargent back in 1987. I've never been a big fan of Geraldine Rivera.
ruclips.net/video/M2zSI9xcaOI/видео.html
This interview took place two years before he and David White would get together with Elizabeth Montgomery for Herbie Pilato's book THE BEWITCHED BOOK (later BEWITCHED FOREVER).
Very good 😁
@Seraphine Almandine Dick York's own words and William Froug, director on BEWITCHED interview. Both are out here on YT. So you can take "wtf" and flush it. 😀
This isn't a put down of York hy me, just some information. I just get the feeling that it's sacrilege to say something that goes against people's opinion. But it seems to be OK by some to not only criticize Sargent from his portrayal, which is fine, but some fans take it further by libbing personal insults, some hurtful.
People are quick to point out Dick York's health issues, which are known, but try living 24 hours in fear. It wears on a person. That's what Sargent had to live with, the fear of his being gay would come out. At that time, some felt gays were a security risk, could lose a job, violence, etc.
What they both had in common was that they were both good people and really nice guys. Erin Murphy liked them both.
Who was Serena's mother?
imagine if darrin had cheated on samantha in their marital bed with serena
The second actress that played Louise Tate was much better
So hard to be nice????
97th 1st time I ever noticed Serina mention her Mother?
Whenever my senses take hold of me, body language is my favourite language to use. May I be seduced to the fullest.
