Ah, ah, ah... The same happened to me with getting a new debit card... Was told by my bank it would get to Leon in just two days. Three days later, it had not arrived. Was told at the main post office to come back two weeks later...Well, I got tired. Phoned back my bank and they could not understand. They had received confirmation that it had gotten there two days later... Finally, I went to Managua, was told that it had to have been sent to Purolator in Leon at that precise date. So, Purolator in Leon sent me to an office near the Cathedral... and low and behold... the envelop had been received two days after my bank had sent it... Rrrrrrrr.
Even FedEx did that to me and their lame excuse to wash their hands off the whole thing was that the courier branch in the US or whatever country you're shipping from should have told the sender on the other end to let the receiving person about any kind of restrictions.
Here, the restrictions are purely on the receiving end, and only after the fact. It's the same office that promised to deliver, that isn't sending it on.
IF THEIR ADVERTISEMENT SAYS PUERTA A PUERTA THEY USUALLY MEAN TO CUSTOMS BECAUSE THEY ARE CHARGING YOU TO GET IT TO NICARAGUA AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL CHARGE THEM TO SEND IT TO LEON BUT MOST PEOPLE WONT GO THAT FAR FOR 1 ITEM
@@ScottAlanMillerVlog Odd, they have ALWAYS told me they deliver to Managua. I use CargoTrans to get it to León. Ana has been using another service that has offices in León for her Shein purchases. So far they are really good. They are the exact same prices as Optima.
We tried them again. Have to file a police report now. They stole our next packages. Amazon has a photo of them getting them. They claim to never have received them. Lesson learned, Optima Miami will see a hispanic name on a Nicaragua bound delivery and figures that no one can touch them in the US.
Nicabox is good, but expensive. I use Optima often and then CargoTrans to get it to my house in León. They have never told me they deliver to León, but all it takes is on employee that gives out bad info.
That's strange. I've used Optima for many years and never had a problem. I always pick up in managua, never had anything delivered though.

wasn't an ad. my wife spoke to them and they told her that it would be delivered to the house in leon
What about the amount of time from US and taxes
You don't pay taxes, that's part of the shipping fee. From the US is typically three days.
Who told you they deliver to León?
Optima themselves promised to deliver to the house. Then once the package arrived, they refused.

The best is nicabox.

We've used them in the past and they were okay, but expensive.
OMG, it's hilarious that the two of you are neighbors having this discussion.
