    He should have mentioned that a native lossless decimal system was invented by Cowlishaw in the 70s. This is not good in production because of performance, but it's surely pertinent to this talk, and makes me wonder if Crockford is aware of it.. :)

    Lots of good stuff + lots of nonsense in the talk! Base 60 is used because it's divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, etc. It's a very easy to use fractional system.
