Hi Janna, Thank you for the lovely video..........as usual. You're such a sweet and pleasant person. A cousin of mine from London grew up in Gibraltar, and subsequently lives once again in the U.K.. She said that she enjoyed her upbringing there. Her mum (my aunt) still lives there, but in an old folk's home now. This is why I'm always asking you about Gibraltar because it definitely is a future holiday destination from the looks of things, and who knows, perhaps I might even stay. Cheers! Hi Perry! Thank you very much! I hope you will come to Gibraltar soon and stay! 😉 I have been busy a bit but hopefully soon I will continue to make new videos 😀
A few shops have changed names but very nice to see the old familiar places. Do any of the Mimes still exist? There used to be two or three dressed in white along the Main Street and Casemates.
Hi Janna, it seems that every time I return to Gibraltar a lot of the shops have changed or closed, I'm planning to be there for National day and it'll be interesting to see what's different then.
Main street is not very inspiring with chemists everywhere, booze shops and empty jewellery shops. It's drab and must be quite disappointing for tourists.
Its much better than the typical UK high street where most shops are shutdown and boarded up with To Let signs. The rest are usually charity shops or coffee shops. Even very touristy towns like Windsor, Berkshire close to me, when a decent shop closes its eventually replaced by some takeaway or eat in budget food and drink place or charity shop. Gibraltar doesnt have a single empty unit on Main Street and is always packed with people in my experience when I've visited.
Thank you ! Bring me back good memories ..
You are welcome 😀
