This so awesome! Have seen a few other versions but this is the best. The handle and it’s greenery plus the key & vial make a huge difference! You’re right, the tiny details are important in a fairy project! Think I’ll make one for myself - no little kiddies around me at this time. 💜💚🦄😍
Love this so much! My sister passed away about a year and a half ago and I'm always looking for ways to interject her vibes into our family's lives, especially her daughters. There's something so special about the wonderment of the magical realm that really has the power to maintain it's captivating allure no matter how much time passes. Very cute! I imagine I'll likely get a little extra on this project with some glitter-laced modpodge and lichen to go with the moss. Maybe a mushroom too! Lol sorry, I'm an over-sharer but I'm done now! 🌿🍄🦋🍀🕸🍃🍂
I'm so sorry for your loss Amy 😔 I love how you find ways to interject her! That's such a sweet idea. The idea of adding a mushroom is so cute. No not an over-sharer at all! I really enjoyed reading this 😊🤗 It was nice to hear from you. I hope you have fun crafting 😊👏
These are lovely and you can use any variety of cut out, vines, moon and stars, whatever! I love the tutorial and will be saving to my project list for spring, Thank You.
First of all this thing is amazing. Magical. Beautiful. Secondly you are stupefyingly gorgeous. Charming. Thirdly the last shot with your son was sooo cute. The whole video is almost crafted with brilliance.♥
I am doing backflips over this idea of yours. It's so enchanted and Victorian. I am going to make a few. I'm going to add on my lid very beautiful flowers and feathers to give a Victorian feel. Many blessings to you always. Renee from Winchester, California
Thank you! HAHAHA😂 LOVE IT! your comment is making me do back flips 😂😂 ( in my head of course because I'm not that athletic in real life 😂 ) I'm so happy you love this idea! OOH love the idea of adding flowers! Sounds so whimsical and cute 😍! Happy crafting girl! It was nice to hear from you 🤗!
Hi im in 5th grade our science teacher told us we have to do a project that has a on and off switch so i was looking then i found your channel this is what i am going to do for my project!🙂Thank you for doing this your awesome😉
question about the tea light on the lid - would it be better to make hole big enough for battery replacement as well? Checking ahead in case since some of my tea lights are wearing out just simply because they're old...
Good question. I heat the area around the light with my hair dryer. The hot glue softens up and it pops right off. You can also velcro it is that's easier.
Like the idea of gluing the light to the lid so that you aren't always having to fish it out of the bottom of the jar each time you want to turn it on and off. The only thing you need to be aware of and/or take into consideration is that at some point, the light will need to have the batteries replaced. If you glue it, you'll have to remove the light from the jar lid in order to gain access to the battery compartment. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks John. I'm glad you liked it. Yes the light is very convenient when attached to the lid. I see what you mean though. Here's what I would do. I used hot glue to attach my light. When the light needs a battery replacement use a blow dryer to warm up the hot glue just enough. It should pop right off. Works like a charm every time I need to remove hot glue. When done glue right back on. :D :D
would add to the final cost a wee bit, but you could secure the light with a tiny strip of velcro on either side of the light to secure it under the lid
what color of glow in the dark paint did you use? This is awesome but I have had to watch it so many times to catch all the details. You are so cute and very talented!
Hi Ileen, I just used the color natural. It was like a minty yellowish glow. Oh man sorry the video is a bit fast. I have learned to make the instructions a bit slower with my recent videos. AWE thank you so much your too sweet. 🤗🤗
Hi Layla, you will be able to see the fairy more if you glue her to one side of your jar. Meaning closer to the glass if it's still not very visible you can try gluing her on the glass itself. I made my fairy sit on one side of the jar not in the center of the moss circle. Hope that makes sense. I'm also thinking if you have to much antique effect on the glass that might be the problem as well. I only did my antique effect on the tops and bottom of my jar and I stayed away from the area where the fairy would be displayed. I hope this helps. (If you want to remove your paint on the inside simply soak in hot water and it should peel off after 5 minutes then you can give your antique effect another try) Thank you :D Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Lily Ardor oh thank you for the reply! I guess that I did both: painted to much and placed fairy in the middle of the jar :) so, I know what I need to fix now )
I haven't tried maxing out the battery so I don't know the battery life if that's what your asking. (google says about 3-4 hours depending on the battery) But, keep in mind if you need to replace the battery you can simply heat up the area that you hot-glued with a blow dryer and it'll come right off.
Hello, great tutorial, but you can buy a set of these like a did for my kids, from Amazon, found one at an affordable price.
Hi, from amazon? what product?
@@terrylewis6542 Yes, from amazon, you can find the product here: amzn.to/3hYuyPe

Is it hard to change the light when it dies
Or... you could make these with your children & create some valuable memories. Jeff Bezos is already way too rich.

Very Good Idea. The only thing I wonder about is how do you change the battery on the light if it’s glued to the lid? Thanks.

can i spray glow in the dark spray paint instead of using the one you used?
Yes that should work but, it might not have the rustic effect a brush would give. :)
Yeah i tryed it it was ok

You could find moss at hobby lobby walmart dollar tree and Michaels

very hard to do but lovely
Yes there's quite a few steps Awe So glad you love it :D :D
Thank you for the tutorial! I made one as a gift but apparently the fairy inside can't been seen clearly
Maybe I did something wrong?

awosome....👍💖
Thank you :D :D
Can i use acrylic paint color white instead of glow-in-the-dark paint?
Yes but I would dilute it so it's not so thick. It needs to be really see through.
Genial! I Love It!
Thank you :D
Where did you buy the greenery
At Michaels
What size of jar did you use ?? I have one with the size :11cm x 6,5cm , can i make the lantern with it?
Not sure what dimensions it was exactly. I gifted it to my niece. I'm pretty sure it was half pint 8 oz jar.
Super cute💖💖💖 Great job💖
Thank you Noelle :D
Wowwww.....😍😍😍😍
can I use only acrylic instead of copper and gray color?
Yes I don't see why not :D
isn't it if we put the candle in that position the wax will drip down?

It's a plastic candle battery operated.
