I love how I can learn to play the record versions of Incubus songs on drums and then Jose has to go and change it all up and make it even more amazing, damn you Jose.

A true sign of talent is when their live shows are as good or better than their recordings. I want to pay respect and compliments to this amazing band. Make Yourself is my favorite album of all time. And I'm a (today! Happy birthday to me! lols) 52yo Christian guy. I am a guitar player and everything else player, you wouldn't believe the spiritual things I've seen (you wouldn't, but ok, my son was raised from the dead when I prayed for him. True story. Ask him yourself, he's an epic drummer.) But this band just bleeds talent (in a good and amazing way) all over the floor and into our blessed ears. Thank you Incubus for all your amazing music.
The audience seems so chill for such a real moment, such a special song, such a remembrance on that era where it came out. All those nights driving around with the only CD playing in your car. wow

1. Brandon has the voice of a god and it shows by his live performances sounds EXACTLY like they do on the record, proving the studio doesn't have to change a thing 2. Mike is one of the most underrated guitarists ever 3. DJ Kil is always droppin' better beats than ANY hip hop artist 4. Jose and DJ Kil work in such an unbelievable way that their rhythms compliment each other perfect; and 5. While Ben sits in the back and drops a sweet bass line, it all comes together forming an unmatchable band.
I've been listening to incubus since i was nine..now i'm turning seventeen and i still find myself listening to them. i might listen to other bands but i'll always come back and listen to incubus..it's like their music is my home:)
When I read the lyrics I thought it was excatly the way I felt and still. It's just strange. Almost like words calling you. A song is an open book in which we can read a situation we are in. For everyone in this world anyway. I think Incubus like see the world clearly and through that of course. The reason why their lyrics are deep and real. They dive into soul and the hidden truth, emotions. Play a excellent show is a second nature like breathing. Simply awesome! On top of the world and admire their musical works.
I would have given up a functioning organ to have been at this intimate show. I have loved Incubus since 95'...& I'm one of their unusual fans who thinks If Not Now... When & Monuments and Melodies are masterpieces, along with Light Grenades & EVERY Incubus album. 8 even grew on me after a few listens. Miss the Fungus Amongus Brandon with his dreads & Kilmlore on the ones & twos...those were the days kids! Saw Incubus in 96' & they fin rocked 🤘 Shit...they f'in rocked when I saw them in 17'. Hope they your again soon! Favorite Incubus song's....Quicksand, I Miss You, Mexico, 11 AM, In the Company of Wolves, Paper Shoes, Sink Beaneath the Line, Speak Free, A Certain Shade of Green, Idiot Box, Southern Girl, the whole part 2 of Monuments & Melodies, I could keep going. God I LOVE this band.
Crow sucked. Science, Make Yourself, and Morning View are "incubus" to me. Sadly they've spent more years now making boring songs than they did making those masterpieces.
@@TacoCrisma crow had some great songs on it. Same with if not now, when ? You should learn to appreciate musicianship instead of being stuck in the past and not accepting change like a fuckin loser. Otherwise, keep your garbage opinions to your garbage self
This was day 2 of Incubus Day they played Make Yourself all the way through, the first day they played morning view all the way through. then the next 3 days I believe they had a mixture of all their songs. They even played the intro for Trouble in 421 =)
I remember listening to this around 8th grade or so, can’t remember. The words are perfect for a young teen just wondering what the hell they’re supposed to do. I’m rocking my infant son to sleep and watching this on my phone. I guess the wind blew me in the right direction (sorry kind of cringy) these guys are my childhood and I can’t wait to share their greatness with my boy.
how cool are those new sounds Kil incorporated like at 0:19 and 0:24! goes to show that even with older songs they're en ever-evolving band. i.e. the new intros to "megalo" and "nice to know you". amazing group. can't wait to see them later this month!
Will I ever get to where I'm going? Will I ever follow through with what I had planned? I guess it's possible that I have been a bit distracted And the directions for me are a lot less in demand Will I ever get to where I'm going? If I do, will I know when I'm there? If the wind blew me in the right direction Would I even care? I would I take a look around It's evident the scene has changed And there are times when I feel improved upon the past Then there are times when I can't seem to understand at all And yes it seems as though I'm going nowhere Really fucking fast
I'm not a hater...but sometimes I just wish people remembered what live music is all about. It's not about recording it on our phones, it's not about looking at the people that do whoknowswhat...it's just about being there in that moment in time amazed by the sound&sight. Fuck, I'm defeating the purpose of my statement by commenting here :)
🤘🤘 Will I ever get to where I'm going? If I do, will I know when I am there? If the wind blew me in the right direction, yeah Would I even care? I would
Saw them at the If not now when promo gig in Kentish Town and they were as amazing as ever. Didn't play any Science though, and just noticed that there aren't any Science tracks from this gig either.
Brandon didn't seem as confident on this song as the others. This is probably my favorite by them so I'm probably just being picky. This whole representation of their albums was a great idea though. 421
Whose still here that still hasn’t made it there yet? I guess it’s possible that I’ve been a bit distracted, and that directions for me are a lot less in demand
Seriously? Who the fuck cares? If they gave everyone a microphone at one of these concerts to "express" your thoughts while Incubus were playing, would you still say random pointless words? Or gave it a second thought and shut up? I think they shouldn't allow comments on these videos.
Mike Eizinger's guitar playing become more and more poppy and funky with the years. I hear the "make yourself" era live shows and that PRS screamed high gain and wonderful effects. Now he plays this shitty telecaster with a weak sound. They forget that Incubus came with the ñumetal era.
hahaha take it easy man, what's ur problem? i made the comment cuz it was funny to see him doing the same as Pasillas, apparently 17 other people cares about. I also love Incubus, so chill out, and enjoy the video, you hater.
He's an incredible vocalist, but his voice isn't as strong as it used to be. All an unfortunate downside of getting older. Even Maynard stated he can't sing Tool or APC songs as well as he used to.
This is one of the best songs of Incubus !
Agreed
All one Of the Best Post-grunge songs of Incubus! Just For Me

every time I click a video of Incubus I end up watching another and having myself a marathon....Incubus ROCKS!
One of the best live performances I've ever seen on RUclips and I'm not just saying that out of my arse. Sound amazing live.

I was losing my shit. I can see myself throwing my head around. I seriously was in such awe. I even got to kick it with Ben after the show!

This song is so fucking AMAZING!!!
BloodyCape 619 so is ATHF 😉
AMEN
Still banging in 2020 ... Can’t wait for concerts to happen again ..
Such meaningful music/lyrics all throughout Incubus. Thank you Incubus.
Buddhists. Well Brandon certainly is.
Buddhist tenets permeate throughout their songs.
Incredibly spiritual band.
I've been listening to incubus since i was nine..now i'm turning seventeen and i still find myself listening to them. i might listen to other bands but i'll always come back and listen to incubus..it's like their music is my home:)
I like how Kil says to someone that he fucking loves this song at the beginning. :D
this will always be my favorite incubus track.
The winds blowing me into this......The voice. The music.
1:37 the guy from behind is literally vibing the moment at all
Also at 1:49 its so amazing the fun that he is living

First 4 albums by these guys rule!
First 5
Crow sucked. Science, Make Yourself, and Morning View are "incubus" to me. Sadly they've spent more years now making boring songs than they did making those masterpieces.
All albums* but thats just my opinion
fungus + enjoy + science + make yourself (and I´d add morning view in as perfect closure). couldnt agree more.

incubus make yourself album plus + final fantasy games = best childhood ever!
Saaaame. I used to chill in my room playing FF7 on my PS1 while having these albums going in the background. Those were such good days
I started to learn this yesterday
You're going to kill someone.
totally worth it , i drive better when i jam out ... and thats all there is to it
Later this comment would go down in history as secretly being written by Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner.
@@DigitalRX2r 😂
Fuck yeah dude
I see Chris Cornell, but I hear Brandon Boyd... strange, yet awesome!
not so much
Chris Cornell...dang this hurts to read that comment 😔 RIP
I remember listening to this in high school on a slip-less CD player and falling asleep to it. ❤️
Watching him sing at 1:15...chills...
The older I get the more I understand the lyrics

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONG EVER 🙏 🙏 🙏 💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹🕊️🕊️🕊️
Best song ever
Lo amo fuerte❤
Tis a great day for some more epic Incubus videos eh?
Will I ever get to where I'm going?
Will I ever follow through with what I had planned?
I guess it's possible that I have been a bit distracted

Goddamn I love incubus.
With that keyboard sound effects in the intro i can hear Oceansize-Catalyst

@majofly16 Me too! Except I decide to do this at 2 a.m., when I have school the next day...
I would love to know the full extent of Brandon's vocal capabilities.
the bald guy on the back 1:49 has been studying some drums!
Huge drum fan
My flipping theme song! Brandon so gets me. LOL
4:02 bravo bravo
Saw them at the If not now when promo gig in Kentish Town and they were as amazing as ever. Didn't play any Science though, and just noticed that there aren't any Science tracks from this gig either.
#2 all-time favorite song from Incubus' "Make Yourself" album. I can SO relate to every word he says in this song. His words are total ZEN!!!😀❤🎙
Jamal Sampson what's your favorite song on make yourself?
Jason Smith "Make Yourself" by Incubus is my ALL-TIME favorite Incubus song.
this is my #1 favorite song from incubus. don't what's #2 though
James Bond same I can’t get enough of it
Jose totally kicked ass on this song!!!!!!!
i fucking love this song
Seems Jose was ready to beat the shit out of the drums at 3:44, but then he remembered Brandon was about to sing the "whispering" part... lol
vim aqui pra assistir só uma música e estou há 2 horas.
@majofly16 what im doing right now. I cant stop myself...
You're welcome 🎼🎸🤔✌️
@pablomelo04 i was looking at both the one in black and the other guy in white haha
Somehow its not the same without the Sitar solo
3:39
"I like your shirt!"
Woah really?
@majofly16 you too? Shit- I was supposed to be creating a workout playlist and down in the gym an hour ago :) great distraction, tho!
this band has made me one hell of a drummer.......air drummer that is lol
THAT LAST PART! 😏👌

Brandon didn't seem as confident on this song as the others. This is probably my favorite by them so I'm probably just being picky. This whole representation of their albums was a great idea though.

One away from the good one
Are they playing songs like this on the current tour? MY and SCI stuff? I might go if so...
Whose still here that still hasn’t made it there yet? I guess it’s possible that I’ve been a bit distracted, and that directions for me are a lot less in demand
Sometimes Brandon's voice reminds me of Chris from Trapt.
Would I even care ...... I would .... I would.
people seem not to be able anymore to just listen to the music and to watch the musicians,
instead of playing with their phones
12 Dislikes??? Wow, you must NOT listen to good music AT ALL!

People say rock is dead. I don't think so! Incubus just needs to make New record,to go with Greta Van Fleet and Foo Fighters as keepin Rock Alive.
@majofly16 same here! haha

That's since he has Carpel Tunnel syndrome and using heavy gauge stringed guitars like that irritates his wrist.

exactly the same for me .... i opened pandoras box
2:30 a piece of drumstick :
Me when google maps goes offline
Guy in the back for sure drums lol
Dang Brandon
Old still cute 😂
Bunch of backseat Drummers on 1:49
Bunch of fucking losers at 1:49
@lesaj187 he lose the effect and put on some pounds .. LOL
the original bassist was so much better
Started out kinda saggy...
He performs with a lot of conviction but vocally he is rather weak.
Dorian McCloud Nice troll there, sir ☻
at this video, yes, because his vocals got rather weak. blame it on the age.
Dorian McCloud he hits notes you could never hit in your wildest dreams...plus it's live, with a different mic...got it? good!
pretty good for a man who has only started vocal lessons recently.. Brandon Boyd is a legend, shut your Damn mouth buddy
He's an incredible vocalist, but his voice isn't as strong as it used to be. All an unfortunate downside of getting older. Even Maynard stated he can't sing Tool or APC songs as well as he used to.
They are great live. i heard this song last year live, It was amazing! i LOVE them so much
