Roberto Perrone on BBC 3Counties Radio asking for comments on Stephen Mold "I'll dump the bitch!"

Recording and sending in a statement regarding my views on the growing scandal surrounding Northants Police Fire & Crime Commissioner Stephen Mold and his most recent in a long line of scandals, following on from Lib Dem candidate for the role Ana Savage-Gunn appearing on the show with Roberto to give her views on the drivetime slot.
Mold most recently hit the headlines for saying how "I'll dump the bitch" to firefighters at Moulton Fire Station if his latest appointment Nikki Watson did not pass her IOPC investigation. This caused further controversy and mired the current Conservative led local council in more negative PR, with many calls from within his own party to step down.
I try to sum up in the brief statement, paraphrasing “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action” how one incident is a mistake and two is a pattern of behaviour emerging. I draw attention to his use of the word "robust" highlighting the same "robust" process he undertook saw us lumbered with Nick Adderley.
While not seeking to claim any direct nor sole credit, within an hour of this being played out, Mold announced he would be stepping down at the next election.
