I feel like you get to a point in your collection where so many of the highlighters can start looking the same! 😂 I feel like 9 is a good number because it gives you enough for variety but you don't end up so many similar shades!
Hi Andrea! I’m medium-deep and I tried the Essence pure nude highlighter but it had a slight white cast that I didn’t like. I got the Essence one in Sunlight instead and it is much better!

Me too!! But for this past year, I’ve been keeping track every time I finish a product and how long is taken me and makeup takes SO LONG to use up, even if you’re a regular user. I think it helps to think about that every time you’re tempted by something new. It’s hard but it’s a progress 💪🏻
I put the pure nude highlighter over every highlight I wear. It adds just some extra glow without making it too heavy, and I feel like if the first highlight doesn't blend super well, the pure nude one blends it out amazing

Right there with you Joyce! I'm 51, and I kinda really just "discovered" my love for makeup and skin care in the last 5 years...before then honestly all my makeup - for the most part could fit in. One - fairly large make up bag, and skin care- I've almost always bought a higher end, my university roommate worked at the beauty department in a. Big department store, so I was hooked on sheisdo and lancome skin care in my 20's :)...but over the past 5 years, since I've found some true gems on YT like Andrea, yeah, well...let's just say I recently acquired a new vanity (well actually just a pretty glass desk)...and now all 5 drawers, and the top of said vanity are FULL! Ugh. I love it all. It brings me so much joy, just looking at them, swatching...I mean, doesnt everyone get up @ 2 am and swatch 35 shades of pink lipstick, b/c they can't sleep, ha ha...welcome to menopause - where sleep is now "optional" ha ha...I tell myself, you know what, lots of people collect lots of things, I've worked very hard all my life, since I was 11 I have bought all my own clothes, school supplies, I left home when I was 14...if I can have 50 lipsticks and pay my bills and still save etc, and take care of my family, then who am I hurting? No one :) well...sometimes my arms get a little red from the midnight swatch parties, ha ha! I say, keep smilin and make up on!
makeuplover 68 you are exactly right I love makeup and there are a whole lot worse things I could be spending my money on. But anything that can make me that happy makes my husband happy and he will every now and then say do you want to go to Ulta. I am a blessed woman. 😊😍

Crystal Sands is the best one of the J Cat highlighters,you would love it and Ulta finally haas it in stock, they were sold out for so long and so was the J Cat website but I finally got it a couple months ago.

I love the lightchaser highlighters!!!!! I hit pan on the rose quartz flashes seashell. They were so underrated and everyone slept on them. Any you do not want send to me! (Haha jk but really). I love them so much. I have the opal flashes jade. Tried to get the pearl flashes gold but it sold out. I also love the prismatic amethyst and the vanilla quartz and the rose quartz a lot.
To be fair I only have those highlighters mentioned so like six or seven and I can’t imagine having 55 of them. It would be hard for me to get through so many if I were in your shoes too.
Having very oily skin, I usually stay away from highlighters.. But invested in one Mary Lou-manizer for special events. It does the job and at this rate of usage, I don't need any more highlighter in my life 😅
Nice video! I love to rotate through my higlighters weekly. Every fridaynight I put together a Box with the stuff I want to use next seven days, so I grz use of my collection. And my eyeshadows I switch up every two weeks to really test them out and make a decision if I want to keep it or not.
Have you seen the new Nobella Noor colab with Elf ? The highlighter is very pretty along with her lip kit. The makeup brushes are so soft but I just didn’t need anymore brushes.

Not that long ago, I declutter my collection of highlighter too. Only kept my favorite 3 and said goodbye to 25 almost unused highlights. It felt SOOOOO good.
I don't even have a single pan highlighter anymore. I find that I don't really wear them. I wear them maybe once every 3 months and it's not worth it for me to keep it. I can use any shimmer shadow close to highlight colour. BUT i have a liquid highlighter that i wear every weekend for fun! 😂

Okay real talk...HOW MANY TIMES HAS OFRA CHANGED THEIR LOGO???? I swear they've changed it half a dozen times in the last 5 years. That aside, these declutters are always so satisfying because they're methodical and calming. You're one of the only beauty bloggers I'm still subscribed to and this is why.
I panicked a little bit when I saw all of the highlighters you were getting rid of, especially all of the Becca! Lol! But now I’ve got a couple good ideas of what I want to try out next!
I feel the same way about Becca Moonstone that it's not as intense as the others from that line. I found that Ofra Star Island is a very similar color but way more intense
Colourpop Supershock highlight in Lunch Money is the only highlighter I've hit pan on. If I could keep one highlight, it would be that, I could probably declutter the rest of my collection if I dared.

A lot of people tell me that it looks super similar to Ofra's Rodeo Drive! I think they are really close- Rodeo Drive is just slightly more yellow gold but the difference is not super noticeable on the skin. I actually prefer Rodeo Drive because the formula is better, in my opinion.

My Becca Mini Vanilla Quartz from that set has shattered on me 2x. Very soft formula.

Okay real talk...HOW MANY TIMES HAS OFRA CHANGED THEIR LOGO???? I swear they've changed it half a dozen times in the last 5 years.
That aside, these declutters are always so satisfying because they're methodical and calming. You're one of the only beauty bloggers I'm still subscribed to and this is why.
I panicked a little bit when I saw all of the highlighters you were getting rid of, especially all of the Becca! Lol! But now I’ve got a couple good ideas of what I want to try out next!

I feel the same way about Becca Moonstone that it's not as intense as the others from that line. I found that Ofra Star Island is a very similar color but way more intense

Colourpop Supershock highlight in Lunch Money is the only highlighter I've hit pan on. If I could keep one highlight, it would be that, I could probably declutter the rest of my collection if I dared.

A lot of people tell me that it looks super similar to Ofra's Rodeo Drive! I think they are really close- Rodeo Drive is just slightly more yellow gold but the difference is not super noticeable on the skin. I actually prefer Rodeo Drive because the formula is better, in my opinion.

I have the same problem as you with the ofra ones and I swear I'm the only person but the Becca ones feel and look very thick to me? My favourite is actually Milani ones - no kickback, no glitter but intense and SMOOOOTTTHHH

10:55 are you sure that is probably way to dark to me it would probably match my mother a lot better if I ever got that like my skin tone is paper white like 12:26 this is my skin tone but I tiny bit darker I am what my mother would call me paper white I try to tan when I can but all it does is make my hair blonder🤣
