@SKClouD No, you misunderstood if you think so. I did mention abiding by the tourney rules in my argumentation. I never discussed what should or shouldn't be banned. What I'm saying is that if something isn't banned, there's no reason to blame a player for doing it, especially not on the grounds of "cheapness" or "sportsmanship".
@Yellowknight888 you only have a few frames to time your attack properly to initiate this combo if you enter neutral state at any moment the opponent can recover
You can tell it pissed Ryu off, he started playing more aggressively in that second round. Though for round 3 he turned it off a bit, feeling better with that win. After that cheap combo, I (as Ryu) would've said "F@CK YOU." But I'm petty.
@LittleJon I get your point but would by that definition Akuma not be allowed for SSF2T? There are some broken things in Fighting Games ( mostly some uber characters) that are worth considering to be banned, SFA3 infinites not being on of them.
actually the vega "combo" could be avoided at any moment that the other player wanted with air recover =(SP+MP+LP) he could even counterattack in the air!!
i don't know about it being a glitch as i've never seen anyone use balrog in v-ism before, but it was pretty cheap. i couldn't tell if he was crouch canceling though.
@redwolfxl69 There is a thing called competitive gaming and there's no place in it for your so-called ethics. Such combos aren't tourney-banned, so there's nothing wrong with using them. Both players knew what kind of stuff to expect from the game when they registered for tournament. It's fine for someone to not like it, but if that's the case you just play something else (which I do). Players shouldn't be blamed for using everything the game and the tourney rules lets them use.
i love me some street fighter alpha 3
Yo that combo ryu did was sick. and if tha vega player ever did that to me in the arcade i would have cracked his fuckin head on the damn joystick
BARLONG AKA VEGA AIR JUNGLED RYU TOO HIS DOOM OWNAGE i give you props mah!

@USHIRAPEDRO20
No, that Ryu player could not air recover. If you want to know why, look up a tutorial or explanation on crouch cancelling in Alpha 3.
60 HIT FINISH!!! WTF!!!
X-ROLENTO RAGGING MUAFUCKAS!
Excellent video.
Que pelea... jesus!

Man, Crouch Cancelling at its' best if the guy playing Vega can pull off a 60 hit combo finish! XD
Bryon
@SKClouD To my knowledge Akuma is indeed banned in that game.
@Rza06 thats how SFA works, you start with full special
When thrown, away +PP or KK, you still take some damage though.
Uh... Balrog is his name in Japanese versions of the game.. Bison in America is Vega in Japan.. and Balrog in America is Bison in Japan.

No prob.
Is 0:42 -1:12 a glitch? Pretty cheesy as a combo as all you need to do is by simply jumping straight up and kick.

@LittleJon I know, but according to your argumentation he shouldn't be.
theres all kinds of combos like that in alpha 3

Yeah but there is a thing called sportsmanship & that guy had none.
Well, it's competitive play.
both chars in x-ism and counter hit
Bison and Boxer
thats the only bad thing about alpha 3 combo loops
lol?
is this like a pirated version lol.... Vega is labeled as Balrog...
Well i don't know whether Capcom actually intended this to be possible, but yeah it's really cheap.
Glad the vega fighter lost. I HATE cheap juggle combos. No fair play whatsoever.
LMFAO so cheap
cheap ass game..
