If they were hinting at malia & kira getting into a relationship further in the season then it would've actually meant something, but it didn't so it was just meaningless. On top of that I think Holland's reaction proves that the actors are kind of getting tired playing "teenagers"
My perspective is this: I think the scene wasn't that pointless because Malia and Kira were pretending to be the typical careless teenagers; and so they danced together. Granted, it was very surprising and a little off-character for Malia, but she did have sex with Stiles in a basement, so we can infer (even more) that occasional recklessness is one of her traits. And yes, Holland is entitled to her own opinion; I have to agree that the scene could've been shot in a different way, but how it ended up is no crime.
Condēu̯i̯os Andīliχtos True, they could've done that scene just differently, pardon me because its been over a year since I've watched that episode and just the year in general but I believe they edited it in a bit of an over exaggerated slow motion sequence which just felt out of place.
When he started giggling before talking about how awkward Holland was to work with and how he use to call her his wife, that part was so cute!
Holland seems like such a real actor and true to everything and gives her opinion on about the show shes on and its just so cute i cant.
