If Heeramandi is predictable then Laapata Ladies is full of twists and turns? Even my 10-year-old brother predicted 80% of the movie at the very beginning. No hate for Lapataa Ladies, in fact this movie is actually a sweet emotional comedy-drama with perfect acting. But you have to understand that people usually watch SLB's movies for his presentation, cinematography, sets, music, and selection of awkward topics. And Heeramandi has it all.

In this series, there's an attempt to present ghazals, thumris, and music in their purest form. Just think, a director who typically caters to mainstream Bollywood music is now trying to stay true to the original. There's no overpowering background music or forced hooks, so if it's not excessively dramatic, it's labeled as boring. They're putting as much effort into one episode as they would into an 8-episode web series these days. Such dedication to mindset, dialogues, music, and costumes requires understanding. Reviewing Heeramandi isn't something you're equipped for. If everything was about numbers, you know Bhansali could do it effortlessly with just a snap of his fingers. His keen eye and experience are evident; it's heavy drama that you couldn't digest.

I think you should watch the series again. I didnt even skip or fast forward for seconds. It has got powerful script, screenplay, dialouges, set, makeup customs and jewellery designs making everything look so real. We just get lost in the series for some days.
Be in a good mood with a fresh mind while watching it. Maybe, you were not in right mind last time when you began watching the series and it seems like, you didnt even bother to watch for half an hour before reviewing.

To be honest kahani achi hi hai, visuals bohot ache hai and songs kafi jyada dil ko sukoon Dene Wale hai atleast better than bollywood remake pop songs. Actors ki acting bohot achi especially Manisha mam and Sonakshi Aditi is good dancer and expressions of ladies are mind blowing. For me heeramandi was not boring but instead of series the story would complete in 2 hr a movie was a good option. I will rate 6/10. ❤❤❤

It seems like Sanjay ne apni budsurrat neice ko promote kerne ke liya Netflix ko loot liya hai. Pakistani regions were part of British created India for less than 100 years, in its over 5000 years of history. Bharat is a lie concocted by Vivkenanda, Gwaliar, Arya Smaj, RSS etc schools of thought , in late 1800's. Under which all regions under British rule were hallucinated as one ancient Bharat that never existed. lol. No European, Russian, isreali, Japanese scholar, historian has ever verified the existent of Bharat. The term India was creation of Europeans for South Asian regions just like they created the word AFrica.
