I bet that was the best film you ever shot. Just take your time buying the tanks and equipment. Build your stands so you can get your head and shoulders in the gap. Nothing worse than not being able to get into the back. I'm short so I have to at least get my head and shoulders in. Thanks Jason. Some great advice .
All fish breeding rooms need a rack of 10s, 15s, and 20 talls. I even like some 55s or 75s for grow outs of large spawn species. 40g breeeders are another choice for large spawn species. Just for those looking at this that may want to build a fish room for breeding.
Yes new fish room. Look forward to seeing it. How much room do you typically leave between the top of the tank to the next shelf. Haven’t found any videos where people talk about that. My first one I built was too close didn’t like it. Yes those 20L’s are a big pain to deal with when they are on end like that.
What about using 40 breeders with a divider? You should see about having custom iron stands made; if you are having multiples made, it might come out equal to the premade stands. Or making wood and metal. Vertical supports wood, and the big horizontal pieces iron. That or use a 2x6. This is exciting! Can’t wait to see the next update.
I've tried dividers and they are always a ginermous fight so I've sworn them off. The way I have my door would make getting in 6ft custom shelf almost impossible plus if I ever take it down the pre built ones make it simple. Thanks
Looking forward to seeing this all coming together, would appreciate if you show rack assembly including the gaps above the tanks as planning my room now. I love your 40g 3 stack racks but can't judge the tank height plus gap to build myself. Would so much appreciate if you could simply show a tape measure next to that rack
Just bought a bunch of wood. Planning on building 2 stands one for 2 40 gallon breeders and 1 for 3 10 gallon leaders. I have them in my room and the 40 gallon breeder rack is going to be tight.
Loving the fish room buddy long time! Good to see you’re doing great as well this a crazy time we living in these days for sure. Good luck on the expansion.
Gladiator makes a 90" long x 24" metal rack. I have the 77" one and its super solid with 3 braces on each rack. With the 90" you should be able to fit 6x 20g and a 10g per shelf.
I'm totally with you on buying versus building. I've been doing the same cost/benefit analysis and came to the same conclusion. Every big home improvement store has some form of these industrial garage shelves (pallet rack style), so you can usually find one of them that has some kind of sale going too, or extra curb-side pickup discount because of the rona. Can't wait to see how things come along! God bless.
I'm going through the same thing. Trying to decide on what racks to do. Once you decide its not easy to move. Lol. The 20 highs are the best size. No matter what you do your never going to have enough tanks. So when your all done you mite go with some cinder block stands. Just make sure you make it so you can walk around and not get to crowded.
@@JadrenAquatics i tried that at my local one with no luck. But also it isn’t the best petco. But also you could tell they are there just pay check. No good customer service. It is one of the stores that gives them a bad name.
Hey Jason, newer sub here and enjoying the content. Just a heads up, I recently bought and set-up the Edsal Muscle Rack. The 24 inches is total and not useable. My 20Hs don't fit properly.
@@JadrenAquatics Because of Corona virus, glass is more scarce, just ask Imperial Tropicals is still waiting to receive all the tanks they ordered back in January

I’d love to have a trio of those clown killies!
Great lnfo.
Thank you!
Hey Jason, great video, did I see a vertical board support on the metal rack?
another great video!!!
Thanks!
the stands are nice but the cost of all those 1x2s under the tanks and loss of space. has to add up.
1x2 are only $. 35 each and I'm not sure what loss of space you are referring to
could you put a link to what metal rack at lowes or home depot it is please and thank you :)
20 highs have been what I’ve been trying to find for my Fishroom. I was only have to find 7 myself at petco sell.
Someone told me if you talk to the manager at pet supplies plus you can order as many as you need

I've got that setup already you have to put down plywood and then insulation board to get it to sit level but the 77" only sits 3 rows of 5.thanks
@@JadrenAquatics Thanks for the reply. I'd like to see that in more detail if you could work it in once you get the racks set up.
Should be in a video next week with a deeper explanation thanks
Hey Jason, is there any way to make Fluval stratum work with Neocard. shrimp?
Neo will be fine either way. I have them flourishing with fluval and without
@@JadrenAquatics awesome, because I already bought several bags without knowing it drops the PH
Are you going to use an X brace on the back for stability? I would definitely do that if I was using the metal racks again.
I add an extra brace in the middle of all my 77" stands
@@JadrenAquatics like a 2x4 or do they sell xtra braces? Do you also use plywood over the wire shelf?
Do you or can you post the link to those stands
