And anyone who watches her vlogs would know, she was super, super sick the day she filmed this. Colleen can be pregnant; throw up 12 times; then appear on a talk show, energy high and a smile on her face. She really is incredible.
I guess? I mean, who tf would miss being a guest on this show.
Jay Milligan being pregnant isn't easy, my dude. It's especially difficult when women have to work while pregnant and alongside her busy schedule, she has a baby to worry about that adds to her stress so you gotta respect her and all pregnant mama's cause their job ain't easy.
I have had friends that have been pregnant. You still work because that's life.

Obviously, he can't empathize with a woman because he didn't have yet someone very closed to him, who he really cares about pregnant, and followed her day by day experience. Hopefully one day he will and he'll become more sensible.

He asked her why she was on his show -- why did she need him when she has her own internet show? She didn't really answer the question.
I'd actually say that his clear disdain for the alternative medium showed through a time or two during this interview - and has been seen otherwise, as well. I love the man to death, and I look to him for my news first thing every day, but sometimes he likes to steam roll the guests - particularly those who don't have enough "normalized" clout. It's an unfortunate dichotomy that likely his producers strongarm him into, but he let his classic gentlemanly charm slip a couple of times here, much to my dismay.

exactly! she works so hard creating her live shows, filming 6 to 9 videos a week (2 on the Miranda channel, 2 on her main channel and 2 to 7 on her vlog channel), writing 2 books as her character

The new sequence of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" has an episode with her and she did it all in character as Miranda. Quite amazing. I hadn't heard of her so I had to watch a couple of her shows and then go back and watch the Seinfeld again. She is impressive. Not sure if I like her show, but she is very good at what she does. You could see Seinfeld getting more and more confused, until he just gave up and went with it.
Nah. Seinfeld's daughters have been huge fans for years. He became a fan back in 2013'ish. And he fed her some lines at the diner.
Comedians in cars is where i discovered (and hated) Miranda also. I looked into Miranda and found Colleen and that hatred turned to respect when I learned it was a character that she did, because of how well she did that character.
Jerry requested that she come at him as Miranda at full power for the CIC clip and I believe the same for her tonight show appearance. The tonight show bit was a little harder for her to get into but once she did she was great.
As Miranda Sings' oldest fan, I am thrilled to find her alter ego on your program!

My wife and I couldn't get through the entire first episode. No doubt there are a lot of people who enjoyed it, but surely there were too many like us who tried it and couldn't continue. The numbers just weren't there to keep it going or they would have.

It’s hard because people are turned away by her character. She’s supposed to make you hate her. But when you watch it through in both seasons, you see the changes as her character develops.

It's really not that hard to understand, Stephen.. You're talking to Colleen and she's created a character named Miranda (like Reubens plays "Pee-wee", Peterson plays "Elvira", Milstead was "Divine", etc).. Did his producers even brief him about her AT ALL?
maybe he asked those questions for the viewers who don't know her?
yes, obviously as a host/interviewer it's your job to set it up for the audience, but it seems he needs clarification over and over again, which was just a bit tiresome/surprising since he, himself, attained stardom by portraying a fictionalized character/caricature (the difference in his case being that it was primarily in the context of one particular show).. i'm chalking it up to it being a pretty monumental news day that day and he most likely didn't have the time to do a lot of prepping for his second tier guests that night.

lazyperfectionist1 Lucas, who played Fred, has his own channel and still makes videos as himself. He just grew out of that character but he still talks about it in some videos and references growing up with that character.
