Bought one on kickstarter and it works great. The "maintain mode" is worth the price. I keep the four rolls I use most often in there and they are always ready for action.
Maintain mode and 4 filaments at once. I got it for doing Hueforge prints and making sure all the filaments were ok, before printing. At the moment I have a 2 week schedule of printing and I can optimise the printing uptime when chaging between prints of different colours. Previously I tended to run 1 colour until done with whatever operational breaks that caused just because I wasn't prepared to run prints with "wet" filament.
I got mine "today" too! (it is now hours into next day when posting this) Mine is about 54dB on the loudness meter of a free app I downloaded on my phone. (Sound Meter, with 4.8star rating, Android) This is standing right next to it, holding the phone about 16 inches away from the device, straight up. (next to my head) I honestly got mine mostly because I was looking for a dryer, and DIY Food Dehydrator cost about as much as a manufactured one (I tried doing it myself) - and the current dryers mostly do 1 spool, while I get that 1 spool is probably enough for most, I kind of want to keep several dry - so I am ready to go whenever. (and with single units going for about $50US each, this unit for about $90 kickstarter dollars, $130 after kickstarter, it seemed like a great deal) With your surprise PLA - you probably did the kickstarter bundle deal higher than mine - that included a roll. I just went for the bare basic dryer only. I do wish it shipped in a protective box around the box with advertising though - I live in a high theft area, and anyone seeing Electronics, and Printer things - tend to get nabbed up quickly. I would have paid an extra couple $ for that as well, to ensure safety. (it's not uncommon for boxes advertising 3D Scanners, Monitors, or the Printers to just get nabbed right off of porches here) Mine came with enough plugs for all 8 holes, no extras. And some metal retaining clips that were.. a bit fiddly but will probably do the job and not suffer from being near a heater. the machine is advertised as 70C highest, so doesn't matter the setting, just a pre-save for something you use Don't forget the little pockets at the bottom of the unit - where you can put little bits of dessicant packs in to make it more efficient!
Can't remember ordering a roll, maybe i did it was probably very late at night when i ordered it. Thanks for the extra info you provided, appreciated. That sucks about the crime, not that bad here in Australia........yet
@@teslar1 They fit in to hold the plugs or Bowden tube into the holes for the filament to exit the dryer. Like the blue c clips you get on your printer to hold in bowden tubes. I put them on in the video.
Hi, i have the K1 max and using the Esun PLA+ filament, would you be able to share your settings for the K1 Max. Having a for issues with stringing and gaps between layers. I have tried changing settings and not having alot of luck.
Hi, I use Creality PRINT (not Creality slicer) with my K1 max, the latest version works really well. If you select Generic PLA and use all the default settings but make the following changes: walls: 2 Infill: Gyroid 10% Z Hop Height: 0.30 Travel Avoid Distance: 0.80 Limit Support Retractions: off Enable Jerk Control: on Support Structure: Tree Slim Support Top Distance: 0.25 Support Bottom Distance: 0.25 Hope this helps Gary
Hi Gary, Not having a lot of luck with my K1 Max. Failing prints string etc. My Ender 3 V3 KE is putting out better prints. This might be a silly question but are you using esun pla+ not HS PLA? I have tried all the settings you have posted (thank you) but my supports are failing on every print. Not sure if you could share more settings please speed extra?
I hope that i get a free roll of filament when I buy my Sunlu S4
Its a great dryer, hoping you get a roll as well

Good to know, yes the maintenance mode is the main reason i got it

Looks like you got the same deal/content as I did. Mind telling me what the metal retaining clips are for. I can see any mention in the documentation
