Like the snake that's used to symbolize Nagisa, they wait and watch their prey/target, their movements and potential openings for the perfect opportunity to Strike and if the first one doesn't kill it will certainly be left disoriented or for some snakes poisoned, so the next strike will be the finishing blow
Woah calm down dude. I am pretty sure they made it seem that uncomfortable on purpose since you know, an abusive psycho isn't a good guy. Besides they drop the whole "dad" thing after this episode, which goes to show that it was probably intentional not as "sexualising" but to make it seem superrrr creepy to emphasize that. Check out Ep 21, they use the same thing there to an even greater extent! Also, I don't know whether you are using this as some sort of "The dub is shit and sub is a lot better" thingy or not, but if you are then I gotta say the dub for this show is actually amazing, definitely makes the jokes land more. (sub is great as well, but I prefer dub for this one)
@@xNico1412 Oh sorry I didn’t mean it in a aggressive way. The dub is great and I don’t have a single problem with it! I just hate the fact, that our culture make us feel weird when we see the word dad or daddy. At least that is what I got from watching them in this video.
I love this episode in the first season. NAGISA is absolute beast in this chapter. He sound extra creepier in the Japanese Dub where else in the english dub he sounds Cocky. I also love the way he said it in the japanese "Karasuma sensei told me I don't need to beat him, I just need to Kill him" That line sent chills down my spine
I like the dub for this show, but the sub for the scene where Nagisa beats Takaoka is a lot better imo. He’s a lot more emotionlesss and calculating, which adds to his character more. Again, I’m not bashing the dub, but I think that specific scene was done better
I feel the need to make a small correction to your assumption: these kids are in jr high, and third year at that. The American equivalent would be 9th grade; so their essentially high school freshman in the states
10:50 The dub of nagisa is pretty weird for this scene......actually is for this whole show. In the sub, nagisa sounds less happy mode feeling in the show, more emotionless mode when he get into the assassin mode. In the dub, the sound of nagisa is too cheerful, it sound so odd in these scene. I okay with the dub stuff, there's many good show out there with good dub, but I really curious why they choose to use this happy voice for nagisa voice.
The realistic part is, this happens in military and in some parts of the world it's deemed necessary. They toughen up recruits physically and mentally through physically and mentally abusing them, basically turning them into meat shields that'll do anything for the cause or for their country. And I don't think a lot of people get why neither Karasuma nor Koro-Sensei stopped from the get go when he literally hit children. His teaching methods are morally and ethically wrong, but his methods do work and it gives proper if not the best results (especially in the context of class E needing some tough training to kill Koro Sensei). Just like the Principals' ideology where there needs to be a system where 5% is basically the worse(and being in that 5% is punishment) just so the 95% will be driven to be better. Assassination Classroom is a series where they discuss different ways and ideologies towards education, and in here, Koro Sensei's way is the best and essentially the ideal one. But unfortunately, to be the Koro-Sensei in our real world is impossible to achieve. Koro Sensei doesnt have family at home to take care of after being a teacher for a day, Koro Sensei has Mach 20 which is humanly impossible, he's a genius when it comes to regular and advanced subjects in which not all teachers need or have to because they can only specialize in one. Basically, you have to dedicate all of your existence to teaching, disregarding your own personal needs (teaching is hard now what more if the teachers try and be like Koro Sensei?) I love this show and how much it represent different teaching ideologies and how they affect children. This anime seriously needs to be known to and UNDERSTOOD by everyone.
I love the principle of the school now! Here me out. I think I understand now! E for exceptional, immense stress! A class is a ruse! E class is the principles greatest achievement!!!

You guys should consider watching Vampire in the garden.

Beautiful explanation 🎉🎉😭😭
The teacher submits a new schedule to the office that minimizes studying. The principal: "and I took that personally... "
Takaoka: *Outright abusing 14/15 year olds*
Bitch-sensei: "Dumb bastard"
Anthony: "That was aggressive"
😂
Bitch Sensei was calling Karasuma a dumb bastard for picking Nagisa
The whole “dad” thing being weird is just English sexualizing every fucking word. It is not that extreme in Japanese

that moment when you realize Nagisa is the most dangerous student in the room.
Nagisa being represented as a snake is one of my favorite visuals, dude can be cold blooded
I didn’t think you would act normal when you saw nagisa acting like that
