So true - the classical training going back to Bach - singing first, then violin (you have to make the note), then keys (the notes are made for you). Thanyou Eva.
Thank you so much for all of the information!! Do you have example lessons with your 150 Rounds songs? I have this text and I find it difficult to teach students the idea of rounds....(starting to build a music program back up-2nd year but first more 'normal' year)
I think it depends on your teacher and how they might use the method with you. Involving your ear and aural understanding will help, but like I said it's going to depend on how it's integrated with your technique and learning the instrument.
Hi, enjoyed the video especially the part about ‘la -based’ singing as I’ve always felt this is much easier than changing ‘mi’ to ‘mah’.

Thank you! That was really fantastic and I too have that choral book from a Kolday intro course I did in 1999!

Yes I do and I'd be happy to chat about it. Email me at my school address eva.floyd@uc.edu
I have been trying for years to play guitar, but it's so frustrating that I've given up many times, is the Kodaly method the answer to my problem?

@@EvaFloydMusic Thanks for the info but I can't find a place where the method is applied anyway. Maybe if I teach myself?
