As an American helpless against our atrocious imperialist policies, I now welcome all the prophetic signs that American Empire is gradually but persistently eroding . With the genocide in Gaza and the US blatantly supporting and bankrolling it, the veil of propaganda that has propped up this nightmarish machine has dissolved into thin air. So many truths of the world are being uncovered and the people of the world are coming together. Without US domination the possibility of a just and peaceful world will be available to us.

They live in subsidized paradise while turning their backs to their island home, left abandoned in its miserable squalor caused by the very sanctions that Cuban immigrants use as an excuse to declare their hardships upon entering the US. All my life and I'm 71 we have had a blockade of any kind of interaction with Cuba which I believe is due to the fact that Cuba beat us in back in the late 50's and regardless of what we tried Fidel stayed put in power and made Cuba have a higher literacy rate than the US and to give its citizens free healthcare a benefit that we in the land of the free and home of the brave arendenid in order to fund wars we dont want with countries we cant find on a map becuz of the poor schools our children are forced to attend. The US acts like a petulent child when it doesnt get its way and is deteriorating qwikly.
We are witnessing the beginning of the end of US led Western imperialism n hegemony
On the US Government website of the 'Office of the Historian of the United States' is Secretary of State Memorandum 499 which states that the intention of the embargo of Cuba was to harm the Cuban economy in order to:
"The only foreseeable means of alienating internal support is through disenchantment and disaffection based on economic dissatisfaction and hardship."
"every possible means should be undertaken PROMPTLY TO WEAKEN THE ECONOMIC LIFE OF CUBA.If such a policy is adopted, it should be the result of a positive decision which would call forth a line of action which, while as adroit and INCONSPICUOUS AS POSSIBLE, makes the greatest inroads in denying money and supplies to Cuba, TO DECREASE MONETARY AND REAL WAGES, TO BRING ABOUT HUNGER, DESPERATION and overthrow of government" .

Thank you and hurray for you, Rania Khalek! You conduct great conversations.
Great journalist
Great interview. Keep the good work. Blessings.
By the way medical field in cuba is not an industry, but fundamental human rights among other rights from birth to grave.
Well America would hate that Cuba believes it people should have the right to good free healthcare wouldn't they
Cuba achieved something that the imperialistic countries have not been able to achieve.
They provide doctors and nurses to all of Latin America and Africa.
Dare I say that was a beautiful interview. This is why I prefer and seek out this type of content. I think the US deters interaction with Cuba bc maybe if our citizens see a successful socialist/communist country, the idea would catch on here to a larger degree. And the empire can't have that. Excellent interview.
Solidarity to all people in the world who fight for freedom
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
Such a good conversation! Commenting to boost.
Go Cuba! Thanks Rania, excellent to spotlight Cuba and hear Dr de Cossio.
Brilliant,Rania!
Great chat.
Very interesting and inspiring interview.
Great podcast!
Most beautiful journalist
Intelligent and brave too.
She has beautiful golden brown skin. The envy of all humanity!
I like this interview format. Two people in the same room having a talk. So much better than the Zoom calls. Well done.
There is so very little opinion of the Carribean area politics. I'm grateful you decided to have him on.
To live with a big bully who is not your immediate neighbour is a problem but to live with a big bully who is your neighbour is an even bigger problem.
Exactly so precisely said...
and no-one should ever be forced to live side by side with a murderous apartheid regime
His English is really good, there are few US politicians that use a good Spanish. It is big difference that shows the open mind of Cuban people and politicians.Thank you Rania
Carlos Fernandez is very smart and speaks the truth! He is great
Wow! Thank-you❤
Excellent interview!!
I've been to Cuba on more than one occasion. I love the people and the culture.
I learned a lot! Thank you!
Be protected RANIA
Cuba is socially and culturally far more advanced than the US. I’m Australian and have visited both places a number of times. Corrupt US foreign policy- exploitation and manipulation- is exactly why the US Dollar is now under threat from BRICS.
Yes, indeed, BRICS...the New World's order.
WTF 😂that's so insane it's hilarious
Are you advocating something useful here in Australia? We have lost our sense of being Australians first, before assisting US hegemony.
@@Dana19443
What is "hilarious" is your ignorance of what Cuba is. It kick the sponsored USA CIA invasion at the Bay of Pigs and became a Nation that withstood the murderous sanctions against the Cuban people for over 60 years.
yes, indeed, ignorance has no bound for fascists! Cuba has earned the entire admiration of the world at large, and where do your nation stand on that matter.
Hilarious, indeed!😅🤣😂
Viva Cuba. Excellent interview
Wow great interview
Great talk!
But bad presentation, unfortunately.
What a beautiful woman. what a great guest. I don't feel we hear enough Cubans being interviewed in English. I hope China and Russia continue to support the people of Cuba going forward
Great interview! Thanks a lot!
Great interview.
Viva la Cuba and Cubanos per siempre!!!!
Cuba should grant amnesty to native american and African American refugees, that would be extremely beneficial. I rather live in a country like Cuba, than the USA. Ironically the people seem to have more freedom, than I do here.
You mean asylum. Maybe they do!
Cuba: a little country but a giant of History
America truly showing it's fascist colors.
100%
Ahhhh.... wish all were as mellow as Cuba
Brilliant ❤ thank you for doing this and what an insightful guest 🙌
As a US citizen the blockade hinders me in enjoying the beautiful culture of Cuba
You can fly into Havana through Cancún & IF YOU ASK IN CUBA they wont stamp your passport IF YOU DONT WANT.
amazing interview!
Excellent interview, I did not know most of that.
All love to Cuba
May god be with the Cuban people
This is an excellent presentation.
The Empire accuses Cuba of interfering in Latin America. Well now, look who's talking. End the blockade. End the Empire.
We stand with Cuba and the Cuban people. God be with Cuba, God bless Cuba and its people.
Americans are told what to do with their bodies. And where we can travel.lift travel restrictions, we are suppose to be FREE.
I love Rania, she's a good woman. She left the US to go live in Lebanon. I respect the f out of that. But.. I still wish she hadn't, for obvious reasons.
I saw her first. (just kidding)
@@merbst 😄 You got taste

LONG LIVE CUBA
In the US, those who are the most ardently in favor of keeping the embargo on Cuba going are Cuban immigrants, themselves. And they mostly reside in Florida, reaping the benefits provided under the Cuban Adjustment Act. They live in subsidized paradise while turning their backs to their island home, left abandoned in its miserable squalor caused by the very sanctions that Cuban immigrants use as an excuse to declare their hardships upon entering the US. The funniest thing is that they blame it all on socialism while they happily take public funds without complaining once they're inside the US. I'm glad this vicious cycle was covered by the Vice Minister. Excellent sit-down. Thank you, Breakthrough!
Cubans are amazing people, I hate what America has done to them over the years
Good afternoon Mr Carlos and Rania♥️🇱🇧🇨🇺🦾😇🌹👋
Thank so much to you Rania,
to give your microphone to 'Cuba' (also).. may God bless you,, you work is so important, and especilly in these days where the bastards (Israæl and US) try to hide the truth by DISinformation..
Are you Cuban ?
@@Dana19443 I am NOT Cuban,, no but I have seen thoughout my life how much Cuban people have had to suffer because of very STUPID American (CAPITALIST) people who hate everything what has to do with 'common(communism) people' ..
STUPIDITY IN America is amazing,, and this seems to continue,, what also the reason WHY (most) American HATE Russian people
because they are told a FAKE story,, (also) about that.. people
Cuba doesn't have to depend on US co-operation. Trade with others than US. Use BRICS and not IMF/World bank, etc, etc.

Expecting a honest statement from a US president is asking for the impossible.
The US wants law of the jungle, and to rule it. If they can take it, they have the right. Is that the kind of world we want to envision for ourselves?
