Just what I needed for my current project, the pattern never indicates what to do with the active yarn, and now I get it! Thank you! I haven't made button holes since I worked a patterned cardi over 25 years ago!
THE BEST TUTORIAL FOR BUTTON HOLES WITHOUT A GAP ON EITHER SIDE. Thanks for taking the time to make this video for beginners. Well explained and easy to follow and a very pleasant voice. Thanks for sharing and caring xxx
So much easier than the way I improvised today. :D Oh well, now I have a great technique to turn to for next time. By the way, I wish all how-to videos got to the point as quickly and were as helpful as yours. Thanks!
Thanks for a clear and concise video on how to do this technique. I had a pattern that literally didn't have any instructions at all on how to do it, and went looking - after watching several videos and being confused, I found yours to be the most complete and helpful. Thank you!
I actually made a whole full fashioned sweater with button holes and everything, back in the day. Now as a beginner... again, I haven't a clue. This video will make all the difference. Thanks for posting.
Thanks SO much for your VERY simple video, ive kept yours and watched many times, Yours was nice and simple and thanks for the tip about casting on an extra stitch cause not many patterns tell you that! THANKYOU! from a beginner with buttonholes. 🥀🧶🧶🥀💋
This was great. I'm a beginner and my pattern called for two row buttonholes but I did a test swatch and they looked messy. These look neat and your instructions were really clear.
I am a novice knitter so sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any way to go back in and add button holes after a garment is knitted? If so I would love to see a video instruction.
Thankyou very much, I been knitting for few years now & you are never to old to learn new tricks,I really love this buttonhole, thankyou

I have to agree with the others that this is the best video on how to knit a buttonhole that I've viewed. Thank you!

Great instructions. Is it best to use DPN'S or can this been done regular knitting needles?
Thank you for your comment! Yes, you can certainly use regular knitting needles. I was just using DPN’s for this particular project. :)
