I loved this set. As someone who's been DJing for 21 years, I can appreciate when a DJ plays more a selector role without having to mix, the most important thing when that kind of DJing happens is that they play wicked good tunes and she did. I don't really care if they don't blend the songs. I care more about the selection, specially if it's vinyl, because nowadays everybody plays with a computer or a flash drive. The fact that she's playing all vinyl makes her set even more interesting, to me at least. Great job! I much rather see and hear this set than hear the set of another DJ who plays the same thing every other DJ is playing. Great set! Keep doing your thing! No need to try and mix and blend wit this set. This set is all about the rare vinyl selection. 👌🏽
couldn't agree more with this...blends/scratches/juggles are cool, but what is it without primo selections
@Eduardo Iniestra Negative. The way these vinyl dj's run their mouths these days about how they are so much better than everyone else with their beatmatching and mixing on vinyl they have written a check that others using vinyl have to cash. If someone is just gonna play some records what's the point of a video? I can watch any yahoo on the block play some records ain't nothing exciting about that. A dj video should show me your taste, how you work your set with flow and vibe using the right combinations of sounds and most important for me your ability to transition smoothly with flair to the next tune. If you're not doing all that then you're just wasting everyone's time and being just another eye candy broad playing.
DJ looks aside, it's ironic that one of the pioneers of djing David Mancuso didn't beat match because it compromised the integrity of the music. Yet, djs are focused on beat matching sometimes at the expense of selection. Personally I don't care if the beat matching is a little off the selection is good. I've heard djs that can solidly mix but the music was less than inspiring. It's great when you can have both right mixing and inspired selection but between the two, I'll take selection over right mixing any day.

@@keithfisher5860 That's cool, whatever floats your boat. I respect and like fem dj's but despite the fact that there are millions of them the scene is f-ed up now. Loudmouths like that Black Madonna cry constantly but wont address the issues that everyone sees. Way too many dj dollies who think it's all about tight clothes, some skin and playing some familiar or eclectic tunes on vinyl so the dj types will think they are "deep" or "real dj's." If interested check out the book Love Saves The Day from Tim Lawrence. In it Mancuso says he never claimed to be a dj but rather was just playing music for friends at his home.

And people that point out the obvious that some dj skill should be shown are seen as haters or whatever. It all seems rather pointless and further pushes the narrative of a great number of female jocks as just eye candy playing music.
@@langlang420 I think in these vinyl sets the most important thing is the music selection, since all these records have been forgotten for the most part. The guy from the My Analog Journal channel does the same thing as she and no one complains.
@@StaLLkeRxx Music selection and vibe are the most important but if you're gonna put out these look at me videos people want to see the total package of a dj. Selection and mixing flair. The vinyl types that like to call digital platforms fake brag incessantly that they can beat match and blend by ear but then most of the time you get stuff like this, bad segues and excuses about it's hard to mix this type of music. Can't have it both ways. We digital jocks can mix all types of music on digital and on vinyl where most of us started way back in the day.
