Just shows that you can’t just whack on modern/upgraded parts/drivers on units and expect mind blowing results. Despite of it sounding all well and good in theory. I like the original driver better since it’s clearly made for it and the un-sang engineering principles that are at work all of the sudden goes away when you replace crucial parts/components that aren’t intended for the task(s) at hand.
Original alot clearer but upgraded one has more high, mid and low balance. Original is better overall, but the upgraded one will also work the best during cheap replacement time🙃
I drilled mine out and put in a 2.5" 9w 8 Ω driver in to replace the 3w 4 Ω 1" one that was in it.. sounds a fuk ton better because i think the chip they used for the amp circuit is actually rated for 8 Ω but they used that little scraggly wire to hook up the speaker, i replaced it with some proper oxygen free braided and shielded speaker wire... little work but free is free.. speaker came out of a cisco conferencing unit.. so is a full range plus actually has way more range than the original did..
Awesome video..The new speaker sounds almost as if it was wired in reverse polarity, I would double check the speaker wires to make sure they are not reversed and that they match the + and - polarity on the original speaker.
Doesn't matter because there is just one speaker driver in the whole system so the polarity does not matter. The new speaker just doesn't have the right parameters.
I think the old one is running on peak performance where the new one is not. It can handle more but more power isn't available to show us the performance. Maybe if he would have upgraded the amplifyer or got a speaker with higher sensitivity

Recently I have sold one and was set back because customer mentions that she had one G=2 and it was able to play stereo tracks. I have tested mine listening to stereo test tracks and when playing R channel it sounds very low. Also by playing Lenny Kravitz´s "Are you gonna go my way" I can not hear the second guitar played on the song intro. Have I reveived a fake speaker? Is mine broken? @@afistfulofpimples1745 you obviously don’t have the smaller upgraded boost model, which is half the size and sounds twice as good. It should be an embarrassment the motion plus is bigger, louder, and still has less bass and doesn’t sound nearly as good as the baby brother.
Jbl sound is more cleaner and bass full than the upgrade, just trashed a nice speaker that I own my self one and don't see nothing like jbl go 2 for price until 100 dollars
