My daughter with her husband and seven children had to evacuate in January 2020 during fires in the Riverina area of New South Wales. They were lucky; the fire reached the house across the road from their house. Horrifying times for people who live in such areas. Great poem Danna. Full of feeling and reality. 😘
I can relate, 2020 Jan in Australia when we were on fire. My house was filled with fires around and smoke. You think is it going to come? Thinking about my animals and getting them to safety. You can have a house rebuilt. A loved one or animal can't be brought back.
