Hey Greg, Your enthusiasm for van builds has inspired Tim and I to buy a cheap sprinter. We have no budget so we've sourced most of our materials from our local tip shop. We've managed to get one solar panel and we have beds. We have three older boys so it's sleeping 5 of us! We'd love to meet you and other van builders. When do you plan to be at a meet up? We live in Eastbourne on the South coast. Also, are you going to camp Quirky next year? Happy traveling and keep the videos coming. They've been invaluable and so inspiring. All the best Greg. Such a great meetup group, We need to get one sorted for midlands & northern england. That spray finish around the cupboards 16:10 is amazing and really effective way to finish off the wood.
Great idea to help others with less experience or confidence to start chopping lumps out of their pride and joy,I'm lucky to have had a background in mechanical and electrical engineering,so didn't think twice about cutting a hole in my brand new motorhome to fit an extra roof vent,a couple of years back
Yes very true,Greg,must admit my wife was questioning my sanity when the courier delivered a Seitz roof vent about 2 weeks after we'd taken delivery of the brand new motorhome,but that was just the first of many 'modifications '!! now she just looks on with a pained look on her face,but I'm retired now with plenty of time on my hands in between trips! I watched your build videos from the start and you made a great job of the conversion and methods of work and planning were were put across very well,glad to see that your van,like mine is still "work in progress" with several little tweaks executed and planned.Good luck with the next trip,always new places to see and experience,Peace,love and safe travels.Paulo

Brilliant idea. I want to know if anyone knows do passages in the back have to be front facing or can they sit sideways with seat belts of course. I’m hoping so as a I have made a seat that will go length ways behind the drivers seat that will lift up into bunk beds. But if they have to sit front facing I will have to find a way of having two seats in the back that will face forwards with seat belts , So I will not be braking the Law . My build is being built on a shoe string , I just wish I had the confidence to do videos of the build , but having said that I don’t have any cameras or what ever people use , .thanks again for your videos they are keeping my brain ticking over with ideas. It’s just bringing the ideas together.

I wood love to go with the merc or wv van but my garage is 2.6m tall, so it’s the Citroen, boxer, or partner L4H2 for me. unless gas’s suspension gets it low enough.

What is your take on the DVLA no longer reclassifying vans that have been converted (and satisfying all the requirements on the DfT's documentation) as Motor Caravan's but only as van with Windows?
Hello Greg fantastic channel. Did you have problems with DVLA to convert panel van to motor home? My van looks exactly the same as yours and DVLA rejected my application twice.
