Can you relate to the experience of "distracted wandering" on social media platforms, such as gay geosocial dating apps?

The reason isn't inexplicable. There are too many people who don't accept rejection, engage in passive aggression as a way to get revenge for previous slights (such as creating fake profiles to cyberstalk, irritate and harass) don't know how to or care to know how to communicate in a way to create the least amount of confusion, or just lack common sense. Case example of common sense in action. If you login and want to interact with someone who is looking for NOW, do NOT contact them if you're at work! Either the person who does so is a liar, thinks your life and time is not valuable or that it revolves around them, or has a low IQ. Yes there's an addiction component but mostly the problem is that too many people in the gay/bi male community do NOT think logically. And the sociopathic elements have far too many apologists for bad behavior, whose solutions are to not take it so seriously or consider xyz..yadda yadda yadda. Newsflash, the more serious or professional minded likely HAVE considered all variables and it still doesn't add up. It's time that we accept and acknowledge that there are some very sick people out here in our community who shouldn't be allowed near others.
That said, the app developers intentionally make too many features, paid features. There is a way to keep you from wasting time (as you see it) but the companies have either failed to think proactively or they want you to pay an outrageous amount for the features.

Yes - we're talking here about profiteers, not community builders. Some app makers try to build community but it often feels like a form of astroturfing.
