Be sure you sliders are lubed. My door was stopping half way then reversing. I lubed it up with penetrating oil by simply spraying it in the upper slider and that fixed it. It closed/completed the cycle after that.
Yes, I have a question. Your video is very helpful....but mine is: a 2016 and the key fob will open the door and so will the button on the ceiling. But neither will close the door.
I have a 2014 and on the passenger side I replace the motor Amtrak assembly I'm still having the same problem I would push the buttons the door would open partway like it lost power. Same with closing from open position, close part way than stop. Then replaced wiring harness with new, still same issue. Help.
That piece at the end of the track that is attached to the hinge... you tapped it.. what's it called? I have a piston sticking out on mine and I need to order it but idk what it's called.
We’ve got a 2014 Towne &Country and the rear drivers side door will not open or close by any means. Fuse M38 is fine. Other door is fine. When I push the button above the drivers head, I hear a clicking sound in the driver FRONT door, but the driver rear door does nothing. Cannot open it manually either. Any suggestions? It is closed flush with the body.
I just need to lift my doors and can't find anything on adjusting them. Maybe bend the brackets holding the doors? Considering lowering the jack with something under the open doors 😅
My passenger door when I open it manually until it clicks allows me to close it remotely but doesn't close all the way but I can't open it at all remotely with fob or interior switch. Any suggestions as to what the issue is? Thanks
Great video, my doors open and close fine with all the buttons my issue is when I try to open or close them manually they feel heavy and hard to slide, any suggestions? Thank you.
I have the same problem that you had, described at 3:38, where the bracket broke off of the door arm. Can just that piece be replace? The cable has me concerned however, because like you describe, the cable is wound up in the motor at the front (under the drivers seat belt). Do I need to replace everything that you did or can I just replace the bracket? And if I just replace the bracket, how do I re-stretch the cable?
What possible reason could be the rear sliding door switches do not operate the doors. One switch went out months before the other. The key switch operates the doors as well as the 2 switches on the console up above forward.
Of course I have the hardest issue of them all. Not only do my sliding doors not work but my middle windows don’t work either. So it’s gotta be a whole motor issue right?
2014 T&C, My Passenger Door Stopped Working Via The Button & Passenger Window Stopped Working At The Same Time, I Replaced The Chain & It Didn't Fix The problem, I Also Checked The Fuses, Do You Have Any Ideas??
both sliding doors operate fine with FOB and roof/visor mounted controls, but both just quite operating automatically using the interior pillar buttons or by pulling on the door handles... any ideas?
Bcuz I have kids I took my panel off, had 1 of my kids manually try to unlock it while I pushed with both feet. It made a large bust noise. But manually opens up and shuts. I made sure to tell all my kids even if front doors are locked they still will open. Just pull the handle as if you are opening the door. Just in case of an emergency. Plus they know break a window if have to those can be replaced. It's been over a year now still opens and shuts manually. Oh ya.. Be careful I had my kid make sure fingers were just there and prepared them that the door may open and could break off so back-up quick LOL Super mom for breaking the door 🤷😂
I had this happen on a 2013 Town & Country, but It only happened when it was parked at home. Turned out to be the battery in the spare key fob in the house.
Every time it is hot outside - my driver rear sliding door acts like it’s trying to open then close over and over while heating that ding on the dashboard … sometimes during the winter but mostly while it’s hot outside …any suggestions . .. anybody ?
I opened the key fob and behind each button is a plastic piece that press the button . Those were all broken off. I glued them back on to see if it was the key fob . It stopped for a few days and started back again

Which are the sliders?
2008 town and country Mine makes noise on one side but don't open. Too much work. So I just do it manually. End of problem. 😊
Do you know part #?
And if this example is a model with power sliding doors?
Yes, I have a question. Your video is very helpful....but mine is: a 2016 and the key fob will open the door and so will the button on the ceiling. But neither will close the door.
I have a 08 town and country and one of the doors doesn't slide everything works but the door doesn't move. What could be the problem?

Module bro
@Karrskars my passenger do will pop open, but won’t slide

How do you open the door track to fix the wire on 2014 Town and country

Need a video about how to set door back on its track

My 2010 Town and Country left slider has no power. The door slides ok. Can you help?
Waranty is extended on door issue for year 2015-2017
Don’t do anything yourself just take it to Chrysler dealer and get fixed at no charge.

Mine will unlatch and open 4 inches... stops, can not be pushed opened. Ideas?
I have a question, my grand caravan sliding door works really well when the weather is hot, but it does not work well when the weather is cold.
My passenger door when I open it manually until it clicks allows me to close it remotely but doesn't close all the way but I can't open it at all remotely with fob or interior switch. Any suggestions as to what the issue is?

I would just replace everything. I think it’s too much of a hassle to do the cable and the part isn’t that much.
Mine both close fine right up until they should fully close and they pop back open

Could just be bad switches.
La mía al cerrar se vuelve abrir qué problema sería ? Solo cierra dándole un empujón

Your window motor is a completely separate issue

Connection issue potentially? Front passenger window? Or which window are you talking about
The same window in the passenger sliding door.
Can you tell me why the door keeps knocking?
My issue is the right sliding door scratches the rear wheel fender. Afraid to use the door anymore! Such a pain
Something is bent or not on track
My window and my door don't work played with switch on back of door got to open but wouldn't close now not doing anything window and door
both sliding doors operate fine with FOB and roof/visor mounted controls, but both just quite operating automatically using the interior pillar buttons or by pulling on the door handles... any ideas?
Replace that switch.
My buttons on the sealing doesnt work, everything else does, what do you think its the problem, I checked the fuses and they look good
What ended up being the issue? My buttons on the doors are not working.
Hey, I saw your video and I have a question. The door in my car opens normally but it doesn't work to close. What do you think is the problem ?
Mine is doing the same now . Did you figure out the problem ?
What if BOTH doors suddenly stopped working?
mines did and the windows in the back
Same issues I'm having plus the seat heaters for both back seats stopped working. It all went out at once.
Sounds like the fuse in the engine bay.
I can't get it open at all to even look at it
Does the sliding door window come down?
Nope
@@karrskars do they all come like that or is it that car only?
my 2008 comes down halfway. There is a lockout switch on the driver switch door panel
Thank you
My doors won't open even manual

@@14babzie Thank you.
NP hope it works 🤞
Another thing I turned the switch thingy off where u can push the doors to open.
@@14babzie I will try. It was working perfectly last week and when I was trying to open it Monday, it won't budge.
My doors are unlocking and are opening by themselves. Wtf?!

Did you change battery in fob?
