Major challenge i have with Odoo.sh is that how do i migrate some of the functional activities done with studio if i have to migrate to production

you need to export all customization from Odoo studio and import them in production.

It depends of the version of Odoo that you use. Sometimes a migration is an extra step necessary before going on Odoo.sh.
