    Excellent video! I have a 24x3 with knobby tires and like you, I love this bike! Pricey, but well worth the cost! My bike has the 48 volt 17.5 amp hour battery and I got a set of panniers given to me as a "senior discount" (I am 74) and as compensation for the fact that the price went up by $200US the day after I first made inquiries about the bike. The bags are of good quality and will carry quite a bit of stuff. I made some changes that you might want to consider: 1. I changed the display to the C18 color display, which is easy to use and to make adjustments. It gives you tons of information from range, to time on the ride, to power in either a percentage or voltage. 2. I went with a Suntour 72 suspension seat post and it made a huge difference in the comfort and works really well at an affordable price from Amazon. 3. I put on shorter crank arms from 170 mm to 152mm and it made a huge difference in the overall handling and cornering, I also ride the bike as one would ride a motorcycle or a car with respect to shifting up and down through the gears as the road warrants. I usually ride in pedal-assist 1 and only go up to 2 if I have a challenging hill. To be candid, I tried levels 3, 4, and 5 and found them all to be way too fast and only needed if I was in a high-speed police chase. One of the big pluses of the mid-drive in addition to the raw power is the ease of taking off the rear tire if you get a flat, which I did. Not having to disconnect a motor and all really allowed me to do all of the work myself. I live in Rochester, MN and the city has 85 miles of paved bike paths, which adds to the fun. There are lots of other places in MN where e-bikes are more than welcome. Have fun and stay safe!

      I’m a big fan of the mid drive format. I have a son with a disability that I trailer around(he loves it fast) and the shifting down low for hills would have killed the hub. I’ll have to check out those panniers and seat post. Thanks for watching and weighing in.

    You're disk brakes are brand New! Biktrix has a informational video on how to bed them.80 mms on the frontfork is nice, maybe set them stiffer. 120 nutin meters of torque is excellent. I would have went for the 26by4inch tires. Like to see you riding this coming winter at -30 Celsius without the windchill factor.That would be a great review.

    I've got the 2021 Stunner X as well and love it. I have the 17.5ah battery and 24x3 MTB tires and it's everything a I hoped it would be. Like said; it's pricy, with my veterans discount, HST (Ontario) and a water bottle holder and bell (not needed as it turned out, it comes with one) it came to about $3200 Canukistan Kopeks. That's more than I spend on many of my well used cars/trucks. However it's been money well spent. I'm back to cycling and can handle the hills (some 30% grade ) and the gravel without breaking a sweat around Kenora. I agree wholeheartedly with the review and add my recommendation for Biktrix as well. They have been awesome! Cheers from NW Ontario. ps; I wish this Wx would improve so I could ride more (23c yesterday, snow this morning WTF?).
    Just a side note, my brakes, like yours (hydraulic) are groaning/grinding, its a common issue with these Tektro pads, I'm looking to replace them. another edit .... I replaced the display with the C500 colour unit that displays actual battery voltage (and a lot more) it was $80 dollars but so far the best thing I've added...

      I’m glad you are having fun on it. I think I have only missed 3 days of riding since I purchased mine and am just turning over 500 kms. So far no issues. Thanks for watching and putting in your 2 shekels.

    Very nice video! I am wondering if you know what the top end speed without pedaling is? It looked like you had some more to go. Thx

      43 kph maybe? I’m also not sure about the speedometer accuracy.

    I just received my new Stunner X. I have the new Bafang dcp18 display with 5 level PAS. I am getting pedal assist at level 0 and have to power off the computer to pedal with no assist. Do you know if this is normal?

    • @sixthisoverdrive
      @sixthisoverdrive  Год назад

      No, unless your throttle is being pressed. Your throttle will make it go on any pas level.

      @@sixthisoverdrive got it fixed. The Bafang motor came programmed to deliver 30% power on level 0. Tech support sent me a cable and remotely reprogrammed the computer. Working good now.

    I did not hear if you said how much torque this bike puts out.
    One important specification being omitted by lots of reviewers, and it's even not on bike company websites all the time where it's easy to find, is torque output of the motor. Watts does not tell the whole story, so a 750 watt motor's output from one bike brand to another can and is different (because batteries are different). Torque (in newton meters - nm, or in ft-lbs) gives you a better comparison of how well the bike will climb hills, and how good your acceleration will be.

    • @sixthisoverdrive
      @sixthisoverdrive  Год назад

      I can tell you this. You cannot stop the bike when you are in 1st or 2nd gear. It will either flip or spin it’s wheels…I even pull my 160 lb son up those hills.

    • @rayrussell6258
      @rayrussell6258 Год назад

      @@sixthisoverdrive Elsewhere, I'm finding tonight the torque on that Biktrix is 120 nm, which is much higher than the Trek or Aveton I'm also considering (those two are 85 nm and 80 nm respectively). I'm looking for my first e-bike.
      I live on a steep hill, plus my trips to nearest town requires an uphill run a mile long on highway that semi-trucks must accelerate to 70 mph at bottom to reach the top at 55 mph. I've found that I need high torque in order to get up long hills at a higher speed, or I may be walking with the bike to the top.
      By flip and spin, do you mean because of the tire tread, or are you just describing the feel of torque the bike has?
      My trips will be on a combination of pavement, or the gravelly shoulder lane along the highway. I don't anticipate traction problems, although I will likely opt for the bigger tires and the tread those have.
      Thanks for the response. A lot of channels pay little attention to their older videos.

    • @sixthisoverdrive

      @@rayrussell6258 what I meant was that the bike will keep going up hill and you will have to manage. Your front wheel will lift up in the air and flip the bike in low gears if you are on payment. One has to be aware as this bike will climb longer than you can stay on it. Thanks for your comments.

      @@sixthisoverdrive yep, with 120 nm I'd expect power like that. Thanks for the video review. I watched 2 of yours last night.

    Pipe a step through bike and where do you put the water bottle at. Does it come with a bike light in the front what about the carrying rack is it come with the bike and to I wish there was something battery pack put on the side of the bike in the frame where no one can't tell what it looks like that way your battery is invisible. If you're looking for some kind of reflector on the back go on eBay and look at bike alarm they got one that it looks just like a by come on but it's a brake light and you can't tell if it's alarm or not who's got right turn signal left turn single Brigadier flashing mode but going eBay or Amazon see what kind of back of arm break like they have because I'm planning on ordering one for my regular mountain bike

      Comes with front and rear lights…more for other’s seeing you, not super bright for riding at night. The water bottle definitely makes the step through not as useful. I don’t need the step through…yet. Thanks for watching

    So, for every gear that's been set. Your speed goes up, but on uphill/downhill your speed goes down as you shift, and how many miles can you get with this bike.

    • @sixthisoverdrive
      @sixthisoverdrive  2 года назад

      30 miles comfortably. I have the next level from stock battery on my bike. As for the way mid drive works is the motor needs the chain to drive the rear wheel. As it has a finite rpm the gear converts your power the way your legs do. In the same way, if you are in to high a gear for the terrain you need to shift down. Mid drive works like your legs peddling. If it gets to hard up a hill you have to shift down to make it up the hill and use lower gears to do this. By the time you get to 1st your bike will flip over before it lets you stop. A hub drive doesn’t care about your peddling at all except to activate the motor.
