Would love to see a follow up in a few months to see your longer term opinion on this monitor. How is the change to VA from IPS in terms of watching movies and gaming? How do you find the curve after a few months of use? Great video. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for feedback mate. Unfortunetely that monitor died in less than a week while changing a HDMI cable in the back. I was grabbing little but of monitor screen to tilt it down while changing the cable and then I realised there was a thick line on the screen in the center and got worse. I make a separate video on what happened with the new monitor I had to buy which is LG 32 inch va panel monitor. Been using it for 2weeks loving it so far.
@@chorcor888 Well, I ended up getting one of these and 3 months later....it's going back to Amazon! A few days ago while playing minecraft I noticed unlit areas in the caves seemed a lot darker than usual. I swapped to an older monitor and the picture was much better. I found when this new monitor was off for a day, the picture returned to normal. After a while when it warmed up a bit, the darkness reappeared. Very frustrating!! I'm now looking at getting either AOC 31.5" C32G2E 1ms 165Hz Full HD FreeSync Curved Monitor (Much higher refresh rate than the samsung for $380) or the ViewSonic VX3276-2K-MHD 32 Inch Frameless Widescreen IPS 1440p Monitor (Not curved but is an IPS, not VA like the samsung, and is 1440p! for $420) I was very lucky that Amazon refunded me for this after the returns window had expired.
@@davegiles2120 I glad you got it refunded after 3months. yeh the monitor definitely have some durability issue. I am not sure whether it is particularly the case for this monitor or curved monitors in general. Hope you enjoy your new monitor whichever you end up with. For me VA panel was one of my criteria as IPS(perhaps it's old model that's why) could not deliver for me the good contrast like VA panel does.
Im looking for a new big 32 inch 1080p monitor and saw this one on Amazon. Im in the UK so the name is slightly different (ends in XXU). Thanks for your video, useful to see the amount of curve :-) However your problem with it (I saw you encountered a fault) means Im worried to get it now! I also noticed another comment that said they returned it to Amazon after 3 months! Im surprised - I thought Samsung built good units so its disappointing to hear about these failures! Any recommendations for another budget 30-32 incher 1080p display? Thanks!!

For 1080p monitors, I would at least make sure it uses VA panel for its excellent colour.
