    Thanks a lot for sharing. I'm a hobbyist watchmaker and am very interested in all your videos. Maybe a little tip. No need for the music it is a bit distracting. Keep up the good work.
    PS. It would be good to remind all that you must use tool steel O1 or A1.

      Unfastidious in music., when make a next video will no music.
      And question what is steel O1 and A1?

    • @relaydog7
      @relaydog7 3 года назад

      O1 is oil quench hardening, A1 is air hardening high carbon steel. Mild steel will not harden.

    17:50 辺りでつかっってる粉のようなものはなんですか

    • @tanakayawatch
      @tanakayawatch  2 года назад +3

      真鍮の粉です。粉と言うより真鍮の削りカスですね。
      アルコールランプの熱が、スチール棒を急に熱すると、表面だけが熱されて、表面が直ぐに青くなり、スチールの真の部分はほぼ焼き戻されていないのにブルースチールが出来た感じになってしまいます。
      ゆっくりと熱を伝える為の距離と、熱の分散をする為に真鍮の削りカスを貯めて置いて使っています。
      また、レバー類など、太い部分と細い部分がある部品を焼き戻す時には、真鍮の粉を斜めに盛って太い部分を火に近く、細い部分を火から遠くする事で均一に出来るようにする時もあります。
      ネジや針を飾りて青くする場合には、表面だけでいいので、真鍮の粉を敷かない時もあります。

    ビデオ後半の ブルー焼きに使う素材はなんでしょうか?

    • @tanakayawatch
      @tanakayawatch  2 года назад +2

      鉄の下に敷いてある物でしょうか?真鍮の削り屑です。熱を均一に与える為に小さいフライパンの上に乗せてその上に鉄を乗せています。
      また、形が均等でない針等を焼く時は、その真鍮の粉でわざと斜めに固定したりして熱の伝わりを調整したりします。
