The group was created by Simon Fuller. He traveled to several countries in search of young people who sing and dance, selected 34 and took them to Los Angeles, where they were evaluated and, finally, Simon chose 14, each from a country
Not all members sing in the group, cause some of them joined as dancers and not as singers (Many are used to groups where all members sing and dance, but Now United is not like that). Simon (the creator) gave this opportunity that people who just dance have the chance to be in an international group. The group was made to celebrate music, both singing and dancing and this becomes clearer when we watch the documentary "Dreams Come True" which shows the entire journey for the final choice of members. Singing members: Any (Brazil), Sabina (Mexico), Noah (USA), Diarra (Senegal), Lamar (UK), Bailey (Philippines), Heyoon (Korea) and Krystian (China). And some of them dance and sing very well. Bailey and Noah was had the most difficulty dancing at first, but they're getting better. Dancing members: Josh (Canada), Joalin (Finland), Sina (Germany), Sofya (Russia), Shivani (India) and Hina (Japan). Savannah (Australia) is the new member and she is a great dancer and singer. Over time some dancers are gaining more visibility in singing (as they train their voices daily) like Josh and Shivani who started to sing in some recent songs. In some songs you can see a greater prominence in a member, as they are exploring the preferences and cultures of each member.
