SNP's Sturgeon skewered for new "illegal referendum" on Scottish independence: Her eyes are off ball

Conservatives leader Douglas Ross has skewered Nicola Sturgeon's Indyref2 attempt as "illegal" as the UK Supreme Court will have to determine its legality.
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced a "route map" to a second Scottish independence referendum, despite a fierce backlash to the drive. Ms Sturgeon proposed that a “legal, constitutional referendum” be held on October 19, 2023.
Scottish Conservatives leader Douglas Ross lashed out it was "potentially illegal" and a "dividing" issue, which should be put aside to tackle more urgent issues like the cost-of-living crisis and the NHS crisis.
