It's a subtle way to remind us of the actual _reality_ of the situation - Thorne thinks he is in love with Brooke but he is in fact repeating the pattern that started with Caroline.
I cannot comprehend how the writers could craft words for Brooke or Thorne's character about interference and deception. Brooke and Thorne have conspired against Caroline (a devastated rape victim), Ridge (a man devasted by the rape of the woman he finally realizes how much he loves). They then conspired against Ridge and Taylor multiple times. For Brooke and/or Thorne to stand in front Ridge and/or Taylor and play victim(s) is hypocrisy on steroids.

The way Thorne treats Macy in this episode is just horrible. There she is, all happy and loving and trusting, and he first tells her that it was the office calling, and then makes it seem like he has to leave because of a business meeting when in fact it's all about Brooke... Not to mention that it defies credibility even more than usual in this episode that Thorne would prefer Brooke to Macy. I mean, just _look_ at the two of them in these scenes. Then _listen_ to what the two of them are saying, and just compare the energy they project - Macy positively radiant, and Brooke like a dark vin di c tive cloud. They are like day and night.
And saying to Ridge and Taylor he still loves her.. What I find strange is the lack of a triangle. It is not the first time as when Taylor came back from Morocco but Ridge' s behaviour was never ambiguous towards who he would choose at viewers eyes. Ridge has always been caring and in love with his women, at least till season 10. But that kind of fake triangle will be the rule for all the future triangles where Brooke is involved with. It is so sad and disappointing..

So Brooke unleashed crazy Morgan on Ridge for revenge and was able to throw the rock and hide her hand🤔
Morgan wasted no time getting into Brooke's business and not so subtly establising her agenda.
The way Thorne treats Macy in this episode is just horrible. There she is, all happy and loving and trusting, and he first tells her that it was the office calling, and then makes it seem like he has to leave because of a business meeting when in fact it's all about Brooke...
Not to mention that it defies credibility even more than usual in this episode that Thorne would prefer Brooke to Macy. I mean, just _look_ at the two of them in these scenes. Then _listen_ to what the two of them are saying, and just compare the energy they project - Macy positively radiant, and Brooke like a dark vin di c tive cloud. They are like day and night.
And saying to Ridge and Taylor he still loves her.. What I find strange is the lack of a triangle. It is not the first time as when Taylor came back from Morocco but Ridge' s behaviour was never ambiguous towards who he would choose at viewers eyes. Ridge has always been caring and in love with his women, at least till season 10.
But that kind of fake triangle will be the rule for all the future triangles where Brooke is involved with. It is so sad and disappointing..

Nah, I wouldn’t have liked Taylor to be killed off for good, since I’ve always liked her. I just don’t see Ridge and Macy together. Her and Thorne were a great match( but with Jeff Trachta).
Nah. I loved that Taylor and Macy never slept with other members of the same family while the show was relevant and good. I really miss the era when we had "good girls" worthy of being rooted for.
