Hoping in here late because of all the hate I’ve been seeing for Celina. To everyone who’s not in their band and hating on them, they have worked just as hard as every other single band in Tx. None of us our judges, and even though you may have done marching band in high school (was at Lovejoy from 2018-2022), we couldn’t do what they judges do. So just let them enjoy their win and move on. It’s absolutely disgusting and rude that they were getting so much hate. This state is full of all really good bands, and as someone who was in a band that was “close” to making state at both my area contest, y’all should just be happy you made it to state, especially if you made finals!!! Let them enjoy their win, because THEY DID deserve it!
Something that really stands out to me, is that when the announcer says that “it’s time to celebrate,” all of the bands kind of merge into a pile, everyone talking and congratulating people from other bands. I (a Celina member) remember a Canton member running up to me to congratulate us. However, I’ve seen a lot of hate towards the Celina band, and the judging this year, but I hope that people can see that where you place isn’t as important as the experience and what you take away from the season. So if you can, be happy that you made it this far. Be like Canton. (And seriously, every band did fantastic this year :) )
All I can say is, I was shocked. I wasn't expecting the results to be what they were. But in the end, I was excited because we got a new champion, and ended the season on an interesting note! A huge congratulations to ya'll on an amazing season, and bringing the State Trophy back to Area B and to Region 25! If your in band next year, I wish you the best of luck! If not, I hope the experiences that you made through the season will be one for a lifetime! Also, I understand what you mean! When my school, Melissa HS made State in 2018, we were very excited to be there! But I remember talking to people from Canton and Churchill Fulshear, and getting to congratulate and talk with those groups made the experience much better!
I'm a tuba from Canton and I was overjoyed when I heard Celina get first, to be honest. I remember running over to Celina and congratulating someone I met while waiting to go to the announcements. I loved y'all's show and talked to many people from your band. On the way to the announcements, I heard one of y'all say that y'all didn't make state in many years so I was so happy for y'all. Everyone I met there was incredibly nice and I look forward to meeting y'all again this Wednesday at State. Best of luck.
As much as I believe the calallen band should have got placed a little higher then 8th. I have to bite the bullet and take 8th for the third time in a row as I saw and enjoyed the other band’s performances. We all did hard work for our shows and got a experience not a lot of band have not and will not get. I wish y’all luck next year to have great shows and I will be gun-in for a better place next year as I will be a senior. P.s. I invite y’all to look and enjoy our show this year Noc-Turn
I'll be honest, I thought Calallen was a top 5 this year. But there must of been moments that judges heard and/or saw that placed them lower. But overall, ya'lls show was one of my favorite 4A shows from this year!
it’s honestly kinda sad the amount of hate we’re getting for winning, because nobody sees or takes into account the hard work we’ve put in these past few months, even years if you consider the fact that we hadn’t been to state in almost 2 decades.
I will say that ya'll shocked everyone, but I was so excited because someone was able to go in and defeat 3 bands that everyone had favored. Ya'lls show was really good and I just want to say that ya'll deserved it! Congratulations on an Amazing season!
Congratulations to ya'll on an amazing season! Everyone worked hard this season and I will say, that after ya'll finished in Finals, I truly didn't know who would walk out as Champion. Congratulations once again and wish ya'll the best of luck Next Season!
I don’t think Randall deserved 10th last year. We definitely slacked off in finals tho. This was the first time in randall history making finals for state. We get another chance in a week though
@@weirdface7262 most of the “other bands” have already won state titles previously, this was our first ever state title combined with the fact that it was the first time we had been to state in over 17 years. i think our moment was very much deserved. just an opinion tho 😉
@@Dave609 nice. I march with westplains high as a sophmore. I was at randall last year before the split in the school dropped them to 4a. We beat them at everything else but state because of the freshmen not playing loud enough and the soloist getting a busted lip during the first movement. here is a playlist of most of our preformances ruclips.net/video/s64QZ_NpAJA/видео.html
@Ranthony Jones honestly Idc i have been out of high school for a few years now, my little brother just needs to learn not to get on my PC and comment on my account. 😅

Well said!
they beat a 6a school at one of their 2nd competitions and they were nowhere near the same level as the 6a school sooooo there was something going on
The band member that ran from the side 1 15 yard line all the way to celina at the very end was awesome, dead sprint, fantastic sport
pretty sure that was Hunter Grimes, a previous Celina band member
Yep😉

just take the L and move on bro, let us have our moment
