I was the second owner of the red "71 hemi 'Cuda convertible. I bought it from the original owner for $1700. in 1973. It was my daily driver for about 2 years. It was not an easy car to live with, but like an old girlfriend I have many fond memories. Back in the day, muscle cars were cheap, but I had to sell one to get the next. It was a wonderful time to be alive and into cars. I was able to own just about every muscle car worth owning. No regrets except that I couldn't afford to keep them all.

Although I've owned and driven all different makes of muscle cars, Mercury, Chevy, Dodge etc, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Mopar muscle. Thanks for the interview John.
I remember sitting at a car show next to Wade at Ohlone College around 2003 with that Yellow 71 440 6 barrel car, he always won best of class at every show we were at even with the car he said he was learning with!
