It's a different method from Generalkidd's, though, which is why he thought it was impossible. What he did was basically play a blank MP3 file on the Xbox to trigger the game to play without music. What this does is tell the game to disable tracks of audio related to music in the game's cutscenes. The same method did not work for Halo 2 Anniversary, though, as this command to disable tracks to make way for your MP3 file wasn't in the game. So, basically, to get the same effect, if you grab Halo 2 Anniversary's cutscenes and look at its audio tracks. You should find that, conveniently, an audio track was provided entirely for the vocals and sound effects alone, not mixed with music. I removed all the other tracks, and left the one that had voices mixed with sound effects and voila. The same "no music" effect as Generalkidd's videos is achieved.
