And the small Easter egg that Steven noticed in the video after a second watch is that Insane temporarily plays before the radio switches to the main theme song of the track. Even I didn’t notice it when I first watched the video a few minutes before. lol!! 😂
Another detail is that at the first "My dear, my dear, no you don't have to cry", there is just buildings and smoke, and Alastor makes sure the victim only faces right (meaning he won't see what's going on) and then immediately distracts him with a new replacing background, making sure he still faces right.
I think it's more like, he wants to raise the guy's hopes up by showing him the beauty of the world outside of the city, only to then end his life before he got a chance to enjoy it for himself. It lines up with his character too, where he enjoys raising people up before watching them fall into despair.
Human Alastor is probably one of the most naturally charming people i can think of, its not manipulation not an act, hes just being himself with his victim and there naturally drawn in, the closest thing he does to manipulation is not showing off his more murderous tendencies till he starts the chase.
I think the guys with the gun's thought Alastor was a deer, because before he killed the guy he looked like a normal person in the shadows, but after he killed the person, he looked like a deer. Alastor also wears specials shoes that makes his footprints deer footprints
