The 49ers wasn't playing well as a team, at the beginning of the game they struggled. But they found a way as a team to win the game, the one thing we can learn from this game is the 49ers showed great resiliency in adversity and found a way to win the game to move on.

They are completely ignoring Brock Purdy's Touchdown to George Kittle. Like he only had one drive that they scored. He put them in field goal position before half time. He led them on a drive that he needed a TOUCHDOWN, not a field goal to win . . . What is James Jones talking about ? He impressed because he needed a touchdown to win and he was the reason they scored, Love needed a field goal to continue the game and threw an INT on 1st & 10.

This is the thing I hate the most in Sports discourse: the moving of goalposts disguised as nuanced analysis.
Yes, Purdy played a very poor game for over 3 quarters... And yet he still balled out when the Niners needed him the most and they won the game.

Brock had 400 yards of offense vs the Bengals but threw back to back interceptions to end the 3rd and start the 4th causing the Bengals to pull away and win the game. They spent all year talking about how bad he played in that game because he lost and turned the ball over. Literally the situation you're describing

I think there is blame to be spread all around the field for both teams really, more evenly than I've ever seen. I did think Love choked for us though, and Purdy came through big time.

They are picking at the low hanging fruit and the easy narrative. In any day and age if Brock Purdy was a second round player he would not be getting the hate he’s getting. Is there a reason they are comparing a 2nd year QB to the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Steve Young, and Dan Marino? This is why people don’t develop into good players because the NFL only values the top draft pick players if you’re a bottom pick player you’re constantly fighting to prove you’re worth. Jordan Love was 21/34 as if he made every pass which was 61% comp Brocks Comp was 59%. for 23/39.Jordan Love Struggled just as much as Brock in the rain. Love just came off of Blowing out the Cowboys by putting up 48 on them but Brocks the only one who played horrible? Brock put up 42 on Cowboys. So looks almost as if both were evenly matched.

HOF QB having an outlier moment is now the standard. If you noticed Goff, Lamar, Allen and Mahomes played really good football for 4 quarters. Why aren't any of these analysts, on all stations, talking about the fact that this is purdy's 1st full season startinig. The only reason he got a chance to play last year was an unprecedented multiple qb injuries. This is the equivalent of a rookie season with all the pressure to win because the team has stars and was predicted to win this season. He has achieved more than most in the WHOLE league IN HIS 1ST SEASON. Like other qb's they think will shine he has potential to grow, learn and shine bright in this leage as well.
Brock will eventually be very confident and will shut people up especially if he wins the Super Bowl this year

Thank you Acho! ALL season, these analysts kept saying the only thing left to see from Purdy is put a game winning drive when playing from behind when things aren’t going his way. That was the game on Sunday and Brock showed you he can have these clutch winning drives when the game is on the line.

CMC was doing good, Purdy was struggling, so what would a good coach do? They wouldn’t have Purdy keep dropping back with an empty backfield. Also before Purdy became the QB those weapons weren’t talked about like they are now. He also currently has the 15 ranked offensive line. Kyle is an amazing play designer, but not the best play caller

Purdy overcame his own mistakes when he needed to, despite mistakes, he prevailed. That is clutch, that's mature, that's what you want to see in a developing QB. He may not have wowed, but he didn't let it get too far from his control.
The best player is one who delivers when it matters the most and Brock did that. Cowboys fan here and wish that Dak had this ability too. And to 9ers defense Brock’s best half quarter was better than loves entire 3.5 quarters.
Acho hit the nail on the head. People have been going on and on about how Purdy can’t come back and win a ball game. He finally does it and now they’re harping on him for his poor performance. Well when you’re blowing teams out or doing well, you’re NOT GOING TO BE DOWN. The only reason you’re down in the ball game is because you’ve had a bad game. The best players are able to put aside their bad games and go win the game. And that’s EXACTLY what he did. He showed us in Cleveland (not his fault Moody missed the FG) and again on Saturday. Then there's the fact it discounts both of the 49ers other touchdown drives...one an absolute dime to Kittle for a TD on the run the other setup by the crossing route Kittle went beast mode on followed by CMC going up the gut for a 39 yard run. Then you have FG drives one blocked the other made.....1 successful drive yea apparently you wanna ignore the facts that dont fit the narrative you guys wanna push. Did not see the defense give up big plays in crucial moments. The weather also played a part especially for a small handed QB. That’s literally the only reason Brock and the offense had a shaky game that and the O Line not blocking well enough.

Both quarterbacks were misfiring as the rain was affecting the quarterback play including Brock Purdy’s receivers who also dropped multiple balls. We can also talk about the potential int drops but again that is what happens when players are clearly struggling in the rain. What matters most is the W. Brock Purdy and the 49ers drove down to win the game and capitalized at the end when it mattered most while the Packers didn’t. It’s really that simple.

This game reminds me of the SB. For 3 quarters Pat Mahomes played terribly. He threw 2 INT’s to Jimmy’s 1. Pat was the reason the niners were ahead 20 to 10. Then in the 4th Pat outplayed Jimmy and the chiefs won. No one talks about how bad Pat played in the 3 quarters, they only talk about how he played to win it in the 4th. James is so salty and biased it’s not even funny. Love outplayed Purdy for 3 quarters but what happened when Love scored a TD and the the score was 21 to 14? Purdy put together two drives and scored 10 points, Love scored nothing and threw 2 picks. Purdy like Pat in the SB outplayed Love when it “MATTERED” most. That’s why just like James’s other team is going home early and the niners are going to their 3rd straight conference championship.
And honestly Purdy wasn’t TRASH the first 3 quarters. No turnovers and like 17 points one of the tuddies being a dot to kittle.
