I used to work for TicketBastard in Seattle. Let me tell you, the surcharge is A LOT higher than you think it is. In some cases, the surcharge is more than the price of the actual ticket. My suggestion to you all is to go directly to the venue your event is playing at. True, its not gonna change anything. No boycott in the world is ever going to get big enough to stop them. The publick buys what they are told for the price of convenience. But YOU might save $20 a ticket.

Total- 59.50....... WTF?
... This is just an example but that is really what happens when you buy tickets from Ticketmaster.
the pricing isn't the point. the fact is that ticketmaster has a virtual monopoly, and if the government isn't going to do anything about it, it's up to the consumer.
IT'S A KICKBACK - TicketMaster needs a minimum of $2.75 to process each ticket. TicketMaster makes deals/agreements to give a KICKBACK to promoters and venues on any money over that $2.75. Most venues are owned by a handful of major players. We UNWILLINGLY PAY AN EXTRA $5.00 per ticket for nothing. If the promoter/band plays to a 40,000 seat venue then one show earns the venue/promoter/band and extra unearned $200,000 per show in kickbacks. That is illegal. I think we have a class action issue and should have the Justice Department investigate these kickbacks. It is not a service or convenience charge...it is a kickback. Now you know the truth.

Ticketmaster monopolizes many events and venue ticket sales. There is often NO OTHER option for consumers but to pay their ridiculous fees ($2.50 to PRINT MY TICKETS ON MY OWN PRINTER?!). Irving Azoff is the chairman and CEO of Ticketmaster and LiveNation. Somebody PLEASE do something to him. Consumers need to organize a class action law suit and BRING DOWN THIS ORGANIZATION. And artists need to STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH TICKETMASTER.
Ticketmaster here in Toronto is horrible. Tell how or why is that a company this size can magically come up with a 'service charge' at any amount they feel without justification? Why are we paying $5 in fees for one concert and $10 for another? Any other company would have to break all the charges down for you.
Many times, I find the promoter and buy tickets from them directly. I try to not use TicketMaster as much as possible.
They're a monopoly on the market that's not doing any good.

I have been waiting over two and a half months for tickets I paid for. They said they could not help me as another company was issuing the tickets. I found out that the other company is the owner of Ticketmaster. This is obviously a way of saving money as our expense and for their convenience.

there was another charge like service fee around $4 or something but I forget.
I would give you a screenshot but all those tickets are sold out so i can't get one.
i have mixed emotions with ticketmaster..one time i bought fight tickets in los angeles and paid for the cheapest seat in the house..when i got there i got moved up behind ringside, so it was my 25 dollars worth plus tax. than ibought some wrestling tickets and paid for the second most expensive seats they had thinking i would be behind ringside..I WAS AT THE LAST FKN ROW..so i guess we it makes up for the boxing thing :(

ticketmaster never gave me problems
why can you buy a book at borders for $20 and get the same book at borders online for $20 without some convience charge for not going to the store.

how can you buy them else where if you are buying tickets for 99% of show they arwe from there even if you buy them from a scalper

I glad I don't go to concert, because I am deaf. I don't need to buy a TicketMaster. Haha!
