Can you please let me know what foil board you'd recommend for towing behind a jetski. Also would you recommend to a beginner or best to start with wake-boarding due to its? degree of difficulty? Thanks kindly, love your videos.

Slingshot just released the 2017 Slingshot Wakefoiler that's made for being towed behind a boat or PWC. I haven't used it yet but plan to try both the Flight School kite foiling and the wake foiling. Since I haven't actually tried it yet, I can only guess and say that prior wakeboarding experience would really help in learning to wakefoil. It also goes without saying that prior kiting experience is a must before learning to kite foil.

The only people making foiling inaccessible are the manufacturers, with the insane foil prices. Yes $1700 is an improvement over $3000. Things need to come down to $1000 complete before I would consider. For now I will just ride my race board I bought used for $100. The level of greed in the kite industry in unbelievable.

Wise words... Agree. Insane rocketing prices with heavy and hard marketing are making the major brands very rich.

Sorry guys, these are hardly "wise words." Unfortunately you are in a niche sport with high manufacturing costs and an archaic distribution model. Low participation along with a high number of manufactures has set up the current landscape at low volume of sales and a high margin structure. This is the only way that these brands can even stay in business. No brand in this industry is "very rich." More and more brands entering the industry, with limited growth in our sports participation is the root of the evil.

Im not a kiteboard manufacturer but I wouldn't say its a greed thing. I thought about making my own kite so i did some research. The price for the material is $45 a sq meter for the kite fabric. Tenchen 600 I think is the material. Thats 450 for just the canopy. That doesn't include the leading edge. Than the carbon and the fiberglass is expensive. Plus employees to build these things. I don't like expensive but if it were cheap, the kites woudn't fly and instead of 10 kiters on the beach, you'd have 150 kiters.

You should see the price of an international moth 😄

skip all this crap, they're basically trying to sell you 2 extra foils that you'll use a couple of times then store in the garage. Take a lesson, or better yet, learn to foil behind a boat. You'll get used to the sensation without the hassle of kite control, which will make it much easier once you start combining kiting and foiling.

Pretty much. The shorter mast might come handy in certain areas where it is super shallow like in a bay where I live. But for learning, get 80cm mast, unless you have access to flat water than 65cm would do.
