I grew up with a western mindset so I never really got into the whole every-transaction-is-negotiated-to-death culture, despite living in Lebanon all my life. I can tell you that everyone around is shocked and disappointed at me when I make a purchase paying full price, straight up, and without complaint. Even some store clerks themselves.

Your Arab dad videos create such an atmosphere of introverted fiery tension in the air you can cut it like hummus. You don't reveal the explosive parts out of courtesy to your viewers but you can just feel it coming. There's a lot of tension between first generation Arabs with their parents but with some cool heads and civil conduct issues can be resolved. Arab family members have to stop being so hard on one another but hopefully unconditional love will prevail and needless bloodshed will be averted. Lebanon is a classical example of an Arab social collapse due to the lack of empathy different groups within the same ethnicity have for one another. Hopefully people will get together and resolve their differences so that everyone can work towards a better future.
