The line “Life is a birdsong” refers to the speech Johnny Depp’s character in the movie The Professor.. (ruclips.net/video/0Y9JipKay6o/видео.html) which basically means: “Life has its ups and downs, but it’s much too short to get caught up in all of the problems.” Knowing BI and how he’s a film buff (Lalaland was the inspiration for Love Scenario) this is very likely the reference for the line “life is like a birdsong.”
Actually, Hanbin wasn't really appointed as a leader, it just came naturally because he was the one who taught the members to dance then eventually he wrote songs for the group. But yeah, Hanbin is a talented bean, an all rounder, thank you for supporting him! :)
B.I is really one of the best Korean artists out there. He is an all-rounder. His lyrics really touch people. He proved that he's one of the best by winning 2018 Songwriter of the Year Award in Melon Music Awards, the youngest and only member of an idol group to win that prestigious award up to date. It's a bummer that he was not able to release a solo album while he was still in the group even tho there were already plans plus fans been wanting him to release his solo and that's because he delayed it many times for the sake of the group. But I am just happy that he is back. Being the executive producer of his album, he has this freedom to release whatever kind of music he wants to. The album is getting amazing reviews from fans and nonfans. The physical album (two versions) is being praised for the quality and the gorgeous photos in there. I'd say B.I and his team did amazing for this album. Aside from the songs, the contents they are putting out are very creative, well-thought out, well-made and well-planned. The cinematography in his MV, performance films, track films are excellent. I am so proud of him. He did well 😭
gosh yeah, b.i was the core of ikon. yg promoted and encouraged that so much that i’m genuinely unsure about ikon rn. they’re my boys and they’ll always be. but b.i directed their music, choreo, and dynamic for so long. i really don’t know what to expect from ikon’s new music now (flower, why why why, and at ease are the only songs released so far without b.i’s credits). when winner lost taehyun, they came back around 7 months later with brand new music without taehyun’s credits (they dropped the exit series), rebranded themselves (so much 444 messaging), and stayed in the public eye. ikon’s first comeback without b.i was with 4/5 of their EP being b.i’s songs and then nothing more for over a year. that boggles my mind.
Same here. I know for sure that i will still support the boys but I'm not sure of what will be my reaction cos honestly I'm still not get used to not hearing Hanbin's voice in the group song. He's my bias. He's the reason why I'm into kpop rn. The fact that i bought his albums (LS and Waterfall) without any hesitation because i know for sure that he deserves the love and support and his music really helps me a lot in this life. I will only pray that the iKON gets a lot of support from their fans. I hope the fans be united and stop the unending hates they throw with each other cos it really hurts to see it.
literally feel the same exact way. when hanbin left ikon, i knew immediately that his loss was too big to the group for me to maintain the same amount of love i had for them. hanbin was my bias so i guess that explains most of it, but even when it came to their music, that was all hanbin. he's honestly one of the biggest losses to a group ever :((
If you wanna know the reference on Hanbin’s “Life is a bird song” there’s a novel titled Bird Song. It has a qoute “The function of music is to liberate in the soul those feelings which normally we keep locked up in the heart" and birds are the master of their own songs. And knowing how this whole album is his comeback liberation, quiets connect dots.

I honestly interpreted this song that he could be talking about the scandal and people who hate on him and were looking down on him but now he's able to get past that, like a waterfall but that was just my interpretation.
This man once said, “ I’m not strong. I’m standing right at rock bottom, so if you’re going to stare… then lower your eyes first” and that’s freaking powerful tbh.
This is a song to all the haters that shit him down due to allegations against him of taking drugs. Therefore he left ikon to protect their image. After about a year, he has now come back with this album

I think the line "Life is a bird's song" might actually be a reference to the 1935 cartoon "The Song of the Birds"! It's a cartoon about a young boy who likes to destructively shoot everything with an air rifle, but one day, he ends up shooting a nest and killing a baby bird. The bird's family tries to bring them back to life but they can't, and they all mourn the bird. The boy watches the bird's funeral through the window and he's so overcome by guilt that he starts to cry and gets on his knees to pray. As he does so, the sky opens up and begins raining, and the bird is miraculously brought back to life. The lines "If I wash away all of the shameful past , I pray to the sky that it will be washed away" and "God is indeed generous and brings me back to life" seem to reference this cartoon. Hanbin is comparing himself both to the boy and the bird - as if he is both the one who sinned and the one who paid the price for it. It wouldn't surprise me if Hanbin was somehow using the one line to reference both separate ideas - wanting to reassure himself that life's too short to get caught up in the problems, but also talking abt the idea of doing something wrong and paying for it, only to be rewarded with new life, or Re-Birth
