Thanks for sharing you flower tutorial. I’ve sketched most of my life but have always wanted to paint. Now that I’m 64 and retired and living alone, I needed something to look forward to. Yours are very inspiring and also love the ocean painting you do too.

Katie, what a lovely tutorial! I appreciate that you did not speed up the video, that you explained what you were thinking and why you did what you did. The hardest part, for me, is figuring out how to make marks that imply what I'm trying to capture. I can get very hung up on trying to render exactly what I see (frustration abounds) this was great! Plus foxglove are a favorite..maybe you'll do hollyhock sometime ;)

Really not a fan of watercolour... yet you had me intrigued till the end! luv the way you use colour to contrast, which keeps it light, as opposed to shade and blend.

(I'm nearly 13 so hopefully I can have social media soon if that helps when promoting). Just beautiful.🌹Can you or anyone tell me about what kind of paints these are? Long long time ago I had some by Koi that had the glossy texture. I purchase a set again but was very disappointed. This time they were the dry chalky texture. The kind that soaks up a ton of water. Much appreciated.
These are a mixture of watercolours in tube. Mostly by winsor Newton, Daler rowney & some random makes 😊👍🏻
