I m surprise that 1st phase turn out came 66% over all. That means BJP is getting what they wanted easily.. I m from Maharashtra Wardha constituency and i went to wardha from nagpur all the way 50 kms only for modiji and have casted my vote today, and i saw on the ground that congress voters didn't came out of for voting. BJP voters came from pune, nagpur to cast their votes only for modiji
Same here in assam. People are travelling hundreds of kilometres only to vote for Modiji.

NDA already at 353, having a 10% to 15% increase is actually a pretty conservative goal for 5 years. The issue is NDA is maxed out at most of the places where it could've gained seats. Totally agree that majority of people who like Modi are not what they are categorized as who are people who believe majoritinism. This is the biggest mistake the so called non godi media and reporters have been projecting. Hindutva for them is all about national pride, cultural pride, no appeasment, benefits for the right people,global pride and more. Nothing to do with minority bashing. If media and even the opposition starts looking at this based with this angel and recognize it to be part of pluralist view then there is a chance they can get their votes back. I believe this would be 20 to 30% of voter base. For now they are just tolerating the minority rants from BJP since they see BJP addressing other things they believe in. Once they see others are also willing to address the same then BJP will have tought time keeping them with them if they continue with the minority related rants.
If I were to place a microphone and camera in front of someone and ask, "Do you believe there is an issue with the Muslim community in India?" they would likely deny it, even if they privately hold concerns, as they wouldn't want to appear anti-minority. I describe this phenomenon as the middle-class effect. While those who are poor might freely express their dislikes, middle-class or wealthy individuals often consider potential repercussions. Wealthier individuals may worry about their statements affecting their job security, such as if offended parties share their LinkedIn profile on X, potentially leading to termination, or if their children encounter challenges in school due to their public statements.
In Karnataka, religious polarisation works at some places especially in North Karnataka and coastal Karnataka. It will not work in urban centres like Bangalore which is hindutva supporter base but not anti minority

I disagree. Most BJP voters who support Hindutva rightly have at least some resentment against Muslims and Islam. They just won't admit it on camera directly especially if they're educated and living in the city.

I disagree with Yeshwant's analysis that in Tamil Nadu DMK will win all the 39seats.
I have reports from the unbiased and bold local Tamil TVC that DMK is in a big shock when the results are declared.
Further,I agree with Barkha as an NRI residing in Germany the stature of India has greatly enhanced and even my German business associates speak in a different tone when Indian economy is discussed.
I also agree,We are proud of our Sanatani culture but not at the expense of a religious divide.

Why only hindus are burdened with religious divide ? Muslims have been communal from ages, else what was the partition for ? Why muslims do nto vote for BJP even when they get all the benefits ? Also why there is only tax on hindu temples but not govt control on any other places-of-worship ?
It’s OK to be very left of center. It’s OK, because we need balance. Hindutva is an amazing ideology that can take a human to a high spiritual plane. Let’s not try and equate it with some extreme ideologies that we are all very familiar with.
To keep the balance, ask a Muslim voter in Hyd, Telangana if Islam is the reason they vote a certain way.

Those who didn't come out to vote would have voted for Modi. But they didn't venture out because they were confident their vote was not necessary and without their vote Modi will win. So, the lower turnout would affect winning chances of Modi and rivals may win because their voters have come out to vote in full.

I find it weird that you don't think about the un-said. When someone says they love Modi, it is mostly due to the fact that Modi makes no reaction over Hindutva hate speeches. They don't like him spreading hate because that is a negative in the world's eyes. They are unhappy with his hate speech, but they definitely love him for not speaking most of the times. Development etc is simply something they tell. Ram mandir is definitely a happy thing for them, but they can't agree to it and the hatred that comes with it.
