This is my first time here. What a wonderful and much needed message. I'm 61 years old, and I spent the better part of last year in bed. I battled an illness and got a hip replacement. Unfortunately I gained 50 lbs. I feel horrible. I want to feel good again, but I need to put the work in. I have a new hip that works fantastic and a clean bill of health. I'm not sure what's holding me back now. Anyway, thanks for the message. Ronnie and Steve... I love their names.
You can rebuild. It takes a little bit, every day, then you build up to a little bit more, every day. The point is every day.
When you get your fitness back... Starting for five minutes a day for the first week, you will know so much more about what to do with the rest of your long life... The extra fat will melt off. Your life will get better. Your confidence will return with every bit of strength you regain.
I can relate. For the past 3 years I have been confined to bed because of severe spinal arthritis. I can stand for 3 minutes then the pain drives me to the floor if I get can't get back to bed. I gained 50 pounds and am at a loss on how to recover. I'm 77 and often just wish it would end. I'm a burden on my wife who has physical problems herself. This is no way to spend my last days.
It all starts with a thought. Then just try 5 seconds....then maybe 10. Just keep going...a tiny step is still a step xxx

Julian here’s the thing - Ronnie’s idea of Heavyweight Champ is a little different to everyone else’s. He’s already the heavyweight champ of the world because look how much weight he can put on your shoulder. You can’t get much more heavyweight than that. So it’s not about the gym. It’s about munching down on lots of carrots as he considers the weighty issues of the world and the many ways he can show you all his love. 🦋 you’re a most excellent human.
