Wilder had the fight beaten out of him, imo. He is (again imo) extremely reluctant to engage in exchanges anymore. It happens to some fighters, not all. Wilder never liked to exchange, but because of his reach and height and athleticism, could minimize it in degrees. Now, due to past injuries, inactivity and being hit and hurt, even kod, he has really struggled to win fights and end them on his feet. However, he may not be as fortunate against a big, strong ko artist like Zhang.

Zhang loses it 100%. No endurance, slow punches, horrific footwork and overall movement, excess weight, age. What for do you need power if you are physically unable to throw more than 2 punches in 12 rounds? My bet is that Wilder retires Zhang. I think boxing fans now just make predictions solely based on who they hate less. People hate Wilder, so they all predict Zhang would win easily. The worst thing is commentators like Carl Frompton only speaks about what makes fans happy to grow their own channels instead of speaking facts. Stylistically, Wilder definitely has higher chances of winning. Fury did well against Wilder because he kept poking his lead land to Wilder's right glove, forcing him to keep his right hand high and occupied. When Wilder drops his right hand to the chest, he can unleash his right hands. Unfortunately, Zhang is a southpaw, so he can't control Wilder's right hand at all. Plus, he is extremely inactive, so Wilder can easily shoot the right hand. Granted, Zhang has the coldest straight left in today's boxing (fast and no pre-movements). He will undoubtely land many straight lefts in the first few rounds just like how he scored on Joe Joyce. However, Wilder can likely take these shots and then knockout Zhang in the later rounds. Zhang has ballooned to 296 pounds as he posted on Chinese social media, the heaviest he has ever been. I think Wilder will just shoot a bunch of body jabs in the earlier rounds to take away his gas tank. Unless Zhang gets a medical stoppage like he did against Joe Joyce in the first fight, there's no way he can win the second half of the fight.
