Wow. This actually looks interesting. I am not a fan of note taking on these devices, it is almost never a pleasant experience, so that is not a negative for me. The size and weight seems little bit off-putting, it makes it less usable as a e reading device. But the function as a 2nd monitor looks very promising. The screen estate looks good enough to get some work done, just need to dig out a bluetooth keyboard or something.
But the price seems steep as well. I would give this a try if it was more in the range of 500-600 ish.
It’s a really cool and unique idea. Which I suppose is typical for Dasung. I’m not sure I’d want that personally, but it’s definitely interesting.
When the review for paperlike color?
In terms of pinch zoom-in and zoom-out response speed, which would you recommend between Onyx Boox Tab X and Dasung 133? I will be replacing an iPad 12.9 inch one to either of the e-ink reader to read PDF academic papers that use very small font size at least for me. The speed of zoom-in and zoom-out is very important for me. Any advice or recommendation would be very appreciated. Thank you!!
love the videos u make :)
Is it possible to use only USB-C for charging and Display Mode Data with PC connection as Monitor ?
The pressure is on Amazon now for a colour paperwhite ?
kaleido 3 is kinda a joke
Uhhh no it isn't
@@goodereader why do you say that? Colour disappointing?
@@lordramoth3416 I think goodreader was replying to plc3653. The biggest criticism is that it's darker and a front light is needed more often. Color (a bit pastel looking) and resolution are fine for many. A 40% brightness Kaliedo 3 could be the same as no light on a carta, or 80% equals a 50% brightness on a Carta. Since a lot of color e-readers have a front light, it's not too big of a deal.
There's rumors of a color Kindle, and we'll look forward to seeing how Amazon approaches this quirk of kaleido 3. Maybe they'll use something else, add a larger battery, fix the issue, or wait it out. It's all speculation at the moment.
LOL. It has the same triangle shaped thing below the mouse pointer as my Onyx Mira and Mira Pro. It seems to be an algorithm thing.
Once we get a colour Gallery 3 version, these would be Great as a Home Dashboard display, if Google adds energy efficiency.
They would be great for picture frames as well! Or some alarm clock/assistant all in one device.
This could be perfect for sheet music. The aspect ratio and size and play store apps are all there.
What does it look like without brightness
Isn't the Tab X a notetaking device too? From your review, this doesn’t do that.
Ouch the price. But it's getting there with Google Play.
If I can give feedback for reviews on how an eink device displays video. It’s better if you use a video with a good amount of movement in it to see how the device’s refresh rates cope. The kei car video, with its slow sweeps and zooms doesn’t really challenge/show the limitations on refresh rate an eink device has.
Yeah I do wonder the impartiality of ereader when it comes to reviews sometimes. Especially when they are reviewing Chinese products.
