I enjoy your tour videos because we are saving for a Japan Korea trip in 2021 (my brother goes to Korea a lot, he was stationed there and is going with us). I watch you that crazy ex North westerner Peter and Chris Broad. Please keep this up. Can't wait till we go. Will be trying to learn Japanese also. Thanks again John...
I stayed at a hotel that was very close to Okayama station. I decided to walk underground walkways. It was so disorienting for me. But I was completely amazed at all of the shops and restaurants underground.
Yes John. The first day of Japan is always memorable especially when experiencing it on your own. Its true with the jet lag, I woke up at like 4am then walk on the quiet streets of Tokyo. I was like "where everyone". One more thing, I came across a ramen shop at Asakusa (near Donki). They have signs saying 320YEN for Ramen.
Can u make a train line video of small town of Wintery Hokkaido? Just watched 1999 The Raildroad Man starring Ken Takakura, those train scene were too beautiful. That was back in 1999. I wonder if it is same like that. Btw, any chance of all restaurant visits of food drama Kodoku no Gurume?
I love okayama so much! Before going to my next desti, just outside the station there's a very tasty melon pan.. And i bought it again on the way back to tokyo hahaha! Oiiishii
ONLY in JAPAN * GO Cool. Something as old as I am still lives on. It is functional ( and difficult to renovate).😜😺 I should have payed attention more as the the Kodama Hello Kitty train stopped at all the stations and I should have noticed this.
Seems like if one does not speak Japanese it might be hard to get around, are there English speaking guides one may hire to take me around and see the thing I want to see and would it be very expensive?
You don’t need a guide :) you need patience. 95% of important signs are in English. There are maps everywhere and ALL travelers research where they’re going (or they absolutely should!) before they go to a new area. So you need to get on the right bus. Don’t be shy to ask for the bus to Korakuen! Either local people or a staff member will guide you. Don’t be afraid to go on an adventure - my thought is that if you’re afraid it’s best to travel in a tour group. If not, take your time and explore on your own. Millions have done it before both me and you and been fine in the safest country in the world!
Always have to chuckle when you talk about Crêpe. Pronounced in proper French it sounds a whole lot more like the English word "crap", not like a grape with "c".
Maybe visit Atsuta shrine? Interesting history and mythology there. Then you can do a station tour of Nagoya station! The Meitetsu food court/market area is great for a bite to eat or buy something before taking the Shinkansen.
I’ve been to Atsuta Shrine many times and it’s - okay. I guess as a live stream one day but you can’t see much. The history is inside and closed to the public. Nagoya Station for sure :) I’ve seen it change SO MUCH in the last 20 years!! We’ll see. Right now, focused on the main channel for a few days to get out some edited content.
Fans like Yoko are the coolest 😁😁😁😁😁
It's true that when you first visit Japan, you can feel the fresh air.
Okayama and Okayama station is a great place. 👍👍
The best thing in a live stream is to see you run for the train. Please keep running, keep us entertained!!!😂😂
Like #500 here. I lived in Okayama for two years. Missing it dearly. 本当懐かしい
Ah!! We did it :) thanks for being no.500 Sujoy! Yes, YOKO is awesome!! It’s not easy to come say hi 👋 and I’m so happy she did!!!
Love these station videos!

Heard someone, who lives in Okayama, talking about the bioluminescent shrimp in Seto Island, really made it sound like something to see.
Interesting. Something to look into 🦐
Thanks John. In a world of crazy news, you are a breath of fresh air. How is your partner PVG doing?
He’s quite busy with voice work around Tokyo :) but doing well. Have not met him in a few months.

Station time with JD is always a fun time! 🍱🍺 I hope you didn't demonitize yourself singing John Denver's Country Roads. 👍
I plan to visit Japan in Sakura season next year but , i smoke and 17 hours can be strestfull .
Is the platform level look circa 1975 like Hiroshima and Others?
Yup.

Very similar to Hiroshima station. Recent renovations I guess
Yes. Similar to Hiroshima in that way!
john, if i come to japan to tour can i hang out with you...it would be the coolest thing ever
What’s the best way to get from the airport to Okayama station?
Probably bus. I say that because a taxi would be expensive.
Seems like if one does not speak Japanese it might be hard to get around, are there English speaking guides one may hire to take me around and see the thing I want to see and would it be very expensive?

I try my best but it’s been hammered in me the American way ;) Jennifer gets frustrated with my lack of French sometimes! Hahaah
Yoko , she is beautiful.
What gadget you use for filming?
iPhone XS and Oami Mobile 3
I have a Momotaro Funko Pop!
19:21 right now has i coment (9/22/19) it is $12 for 1300¥
I don’t know exactly. It’s like $1 is ¥108 so maybe google “USD JPY” like that and it’ll tell you.
@@onlyinjapanGO i checked google
Gamingmadirocks excellent! 💴💵

wish i could travel to japan for 60 hours and then leave.
I just realized that Trevor's family prioritized to travel during Silver Week for Japan, where prices are the lowest possible. Nice.
Country roads, take me home to the place where I belong. West Virginia, mountain mama take me home country roads. Okayama is a nice place‼️👍🍑
