I'm so glad you enjoyed it! One of the things I do with my students to get them to loosen their ankles is to do a bunch of flap heels and as you go, you gradually try to get them as small as you can. That helps with super fine motor skills and also helps loosen up the ankles as you get smaller movements. Also focusing on relaxing your foot in your shuffles more will help too. :)
My floor is a roll-out bamboo floor mat from Office Depot on top of EVA foam mats. It gives a softer timbre which is good with my high ceilings (less echo)
