I put mine on a dyno and Tail Lights Blackout Lens added 11 hp extra for a total of 44 RHP.
Now that's how envisioned it..... Looks sooooooooo much better. Now you're truly blacked out. Lol have a good week.

Another great vid Chuck. Vettes and Jets! YES! I'm guessing the winner of the show gets a ride in a fighter? Would be curious to know and it might make for another good video when the winner gets his ride. Love the tail light black out kit. Who would have thought such a mod would give 40 more hp!? You do realize that increase is gross hp, it's only 36rwhp. If you black out the front fog lights you'll gain another 20hp/18rwhp. You might want to remove the spare tire. That will give you another 2/10ths improvement in the quarter mile. Save the Wave. Peter

Those new carbon 65 vettes are amazing! The tail lights look great too. I've thought about doing it to my z06, but I just like those clear lights too much lol. It's a good choice for your blacked out look though.

I really enjoy all of your content and have learned much. The mirror tap video for my radar detector saved me hours of time and much less frustration. Great videos. Just snagged a 2019 Grand Sport with 3400 miles. Enjoying all the “minor” mods. Splitter, wicker bill, side marker blackouts etc.
I’d love the tail light black outs. But be honest. Dirt and water has GOT to be a constant problem. No?
the extra few ounces adds weight to the rear.. .helps it hook... very nice car... do what you want with it... it is a zo6, who cares what anyone else thinks... if it means anything, i like it better, being that you made it yours.. .to me, just as important as driving and enjoying it... no real man would get "upset" with you, for doing whatever you wanted to, with your property (where this does not actually effect, in a negative way, someone else's ability to do the same, or not, with their own)... imho... no offense to any "man" that is upset about it...

Morning Corvette 918, I found out that you can get a new ZO6 withe the carbon brakes without the ZO7 pkg and you dont get the cup 2 tire.
Demmolitionman That is correct just started with the 2017 GS and now the new Z06's. You just don't get the aero package which you can add yourself at a cheaper price. Glad to see GM is giving more options.

Chuck, the tires you recommended is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S correct? I tried looking for the sizes that fit 2017 Z06 and I can't seem to find it. Do you have any suggestions?
I got on some message boards and there are some people who have put on these new PS FS tires and have not been impressed with them. Many people have went back to the Pilot Super Sports that are apparently still being made. Here is a link www.discounttire.com/fitmentresult/tires/staggered/front

Depends on miles but between 55 and 60K. Just aero and some extras in the cab.

I still have the super sport tires but next set will be the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires. They are year round tires and have all the performance.

Uncle fred pretty much anything with a motor in it is a bad investment. Cars, boats etc: unless it is a very rare car or one that was made in an limited quantity. We buy these cars because we can afford them and because we love them. I don't recommend anyone buy a corvette that doesn't have the financial security to lose the money. You will never get back what you put into any car not just a corvette. You are buying an experience and it's a costly one. That's why I am always telling people to get and drive their sports cars because there is no reason to try and keep the miles low for resale value because you are just paying for someone else to enjoy that car. Hope that helped. You simply have to want this car.

I had it covered with a tinted one when I first got it and was pulled over twice in a week and giving warning so just took it off. The plate is a slight gray but not going to push that issue.
